08/08/2024: We booked a room in April for a June stay, but life happened, and we had to cancel. So, like responsible adults, we contacted this hotel month in advance to cancel.
They reassured us—multiple times!—that our booking was canceled and we’d get our refund. Fast forward a few months more, and guess what? Still no refund.
After three calls in two months, not only are we out of our money, but now the manager is threatening to show up at our address?!
This is beyond outrageous. They’re unprofessional, dishonest, and frankly, scary. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to deal with thieves who might show up at your door.
13/07/2024: One night spent on a business trip.
Most :
- the location, 5 minutes from the Aix TGV station
- the restaurant, delicious and with lots of choice, with its pretty terrace and fountain
- welcome and service
- the rooms, clean with very comfortable bedding
- the calm of the environment
The lessers :
- in the shower in my room (14) I had a very low flow and a temperature that changed every minute, it took me hours to wash
- VTC called by the hotel: €25 (!!!) to travel 3km between Aix TGV station and the hotel, same price for 10min between the hotel and Vitrolles. We know that in the south it's often a scam but this is beyond belief!
Good overall experience.

09/12/2024: Friendliness not expected from a brunette waitress. To get a smile that leaves something to be desired. Also regarding the 2 other waitresses. We see that he doesn't like customers to flee!!! And what's more, this long-haired brunette waitress takes customers on high without ever seeing them. And the other waitress with glasses blows to give the dishes to the customer.. and a blonde at the cash register and totally unpleasant she just said to her colleague I'm hungry, hello or nothing!!!! To flee, to flee!!!
I recommend Columbus Vitrolles!!!!
07/12/2024: I am posting this review following my visit with my mother who is visually impaired.
While my mother was taking her order as she usually does in other stores without worry, here, an employee (or even the manager, I don't know) took the liberty of waving his hand in front of my mother's eyes. mother to make her “react”, rather than just ask her nicely what to do next.
The service and welcome there are deplorable.
I think that some people should be better trained in customer service because regardless of the person, disabled or not, you don't wave your hand like that...it's neither professional nor civilized and all the more hurtful in our case .

20/09/2024: I ordered spring rolls from the drive thru and asked for the spring roll sauce. And I had a sauce for spring rolls when I pointed out that it's not the right sauce, I was told that it was only that and nothing else. With everyone waiting I left and of course I couldn't eat them because they were too dry and tasteless.
I'm a regular at least once a week but that's the last time I went there.

09/08/2023: Given the tall grass, the wasteland that has invaded the garden, the phone number that is no longer working and the latest reviews that have found the door closed, we can deduce that this buffet is definitely closed! I understand better our disappointment last February when it felt like agony! We wanted to give him one last chance this summer…. But obviously it’s settled!
My post from last February:
Having been a customer there for years... we were very disappointed with our last visit in February 2023. If the price has increased to €22 in the evening, paradoxically the choice has really been revised downwards! No more oysters, no more fresh salmon and very limited choice of dishes with sauces (no more dishes based on lemongrass or ginger) and those that are there are tasteless (peking duck in a liquid sauce!!!). A very small choice of wok…. Really a shame for a restaurant that was still on top even after Covid!

09/09/2024: Une très belle journée et un super accueil pour le baptême de mon fils.
Que se soit de l’apéro en passant par le plat et le dessert, nous avons été conquis.
Malheureusement la pluie n’a pas pu nous permettre de faire l’apéritif dehors mais la salle était très adaptée pour être tous dedans. Les tables bien disposées pour que les invités puissent être debout sans être collé. .
Le seul hic pour notre part, le droit de bouchon à 10€. mais à part ça équipe très disponible, très arrangeante.
Je recommande l’endroit pour un événement.
30/08/2024: Endroit super! Nous avons passé une très bonne soirée. Dj au top... Merci beaucoup a l'équipe de la guerine. A refaire très vite.
