25/08/2024: While staying with family at the resort of Auris en Oisans, we ate twice in the establishment (as a family and as a couple) and we were delighted. The staff is super nice, the meal is excellent, tartiflette and a wild garlic fondue are a wonderful treat.
Thank you again for your welcome.
I recommend keeping your eyes closed.

But 2h15 on site for main course/dessert for 2 people...
Too long. We had been waiting for dessert for over 30 minutes, but the cook and a waitress were having a glass of wine behind the bar...
Slightly expensive price for the sophistication of certain dishes
20/08/2024: For three years already, I have recharged my batteries, summer and winter, in Oisans, traveling its hiking trails, hitting its ski slopes, and frequenting its hotels and restaurants.
As everywhere else in France, the offer in terms of hostels and restaurants is of uneven quality, often good, sometimes mediocre... But none, in my opinion, is up to the level of that offered by the Auberge de la Forêt, where I had the chance to stay for a few days this summer.
It's quite simple: I simply can't find anything to criticize about this establishment! The cuisine is exquisite, the welcome charming and the service impeccable. As for the room I occupied, words fail me: clean as a penny, refined, comfortable, enchanting... It was all that, and much more: perfection itself!
In short, I do not recommend; I prescribe!

15/07/2024: Magnificent authentic mountain cottage enjoying a breathtaking view of the 2 Alps and the start of many walks/hikes! The catering is exceptional, tasty, copious, filled with lots of attention. The upstairs room is particularly suitable for parties! The owners are attentive and very friendly.
In short, a perfect weekend in an address to remember!

too bad for us who knew this hotel, it has a magnificent location, a breathtaking view, but it is poorly maintained.
for several years it has been bought:
The staff is invisible, most of them speak very poor French,
The rooms are no longer maintained, the cleanliness is very average, in my case we took a family room 5 on the 1st floor there is no more lighting in the bathroom and we use a floor lamp with an extension…
The young girl at reception, did you want to give us a room which overlooks the roof of the kitchen with the extractor which sends odors of frying into the room, and by insisting a little she realized that a valley side room was available, she didn't know the establishment any more than the colleague she had asked just before...
It's a fiasco.
I hope the owners will realize this and take charge of the establishment.
What can we say about breakfast other than industrial and unappealing products...

16/03/2024: J’ai été choquer de ce restaurant, degueulasse! J’ai pris des spaghettis elle avais un vieux goût pourrie, j’en ai même vomis lors de mon retour chez moi. Seule point positif , merci à Valentin le serveure le reste du personnel beaucoup trop aigri!!!! Nous avons été très mal accueilli. Je recommande pas dutout a fuire même
15/03/2024: Franchement n’allez jamais dans ce restaurant, j’ai eu une grosse intoxication alimentaire en mangeant des spaghettis bolognaise, j’ai même retrouver des poils dans mon assiette !! À leur place j’aurais honte d’être des patrons aigris comme sa et mal élever je déconseille à tout le monde, sans compter les toilettes dans un état à vomir mais je pense qu’il étais plus propre que la cuisine vue l’état des lieux.

La tartiflette est moins bonne et ils n’avaient plus de fondue !
Le service est agréable.
23/01/2024: Nous choisissons une fondue savoyarde pour une soirée entre amis. La recette du Tetras est originale et délicieuse. La quantité est largement suffisante pour ne pas réussir à finir. La salade d'accompagnement est composée. Le service est efficace et agréable. Ambiance bruyante mais sympathique. Très bien !

02/07/2024: Accueil sympathique et souriant, cadre très bien , repas très quelconque : entrée gaspacho en fait soupe courgette crème froide , tartiflette patates pas cuite et surtout portions ridicules à peine 4 cuillerées par personne , dessert mousse fade avec tartelette industrielle ( annoncée tarte aux fruits, vins corrects.
Bref déçus pour une formule à 25 €. J'aurai mis 2 étoiles et demi si j'avais pu
