20/05/2026: I'm giving it one star because zero isn't an option, but the woman who greets you at this bar/tobacconist is incredibly unpleasant. (The toilets are supposedly private.) Anyway… And the coffee? Don't even get me started! It was terrible, so I didn't drink it. This woman even threw it on the sidewalk behind our car, which was parked in front of the bar—unbelievable!
The bar lives up to its name,
(THE CALVARY), my advice is: don't stop there!

21/06/2026: Incredible but true, one evening we asked if we could have a drink on the terrace. The owner agreed, saying we would have to vacate the table if it was taken. We were the first customers, so no problem, we would free it up if necessary. My friend changed his mind and wanted a meal, but I didn't. He asked the owner if he could have a plate of tagliatelle, but since I only wanted a glass of wine, the owner refused to serve us anything. Unbelievable, unimaginable! His reasoning was completely inappropriate. What a shame.
16/06/2026: There was a long wait because my dish hadn't been sent to the kitchen, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. The mussels with Camembert arrived cold and didn't taste like Camembert at all. There was no tap water, and don't even get me started on the service.
I do not recommend this restaurant.

26/10/2024: Une entrée prometteuse, mais nous avons été un peu déçus par les plats qui manquaient de raffinement. En revanche : cadre sympathique, serveur agréable, produits locaux et de saison. Option végétarienne appréciée.
16/10/2024: J’ai déjeuné mardi 15 octobre 2024 et dîné le même soir et à nouveau ce soir mercredi 16 octobre 2024.
La personne qui m’a accueilli mardi midi et l’autre qui m’a reçu chaque soir étaient très sympathiques. Le cadre est très agréable dans cette maison aux plafonds très hauts. C’est une adresse qui se mérite car elle est située dans la haute ville (le centre historique).
Consommer son repas au calme, c’est agréable. Même s’il y a du monde, l’endroit n’est pas sonore.
Après avoir parlé du cadre, évoquons le voyage gustatif et subtil des plats. Délicieux, avec une cuisson parfaite de la coquille Saint-Jacques en entrée. Une carte et une proposition d’entrée et de plat du jour équilibrée. Et l’on devine facilement que tout est préparé à la commande. Je cuisine et je sais faire la différence entre quelque chose qui a attendu en cuisine et un plat qui vient d’être élaboré après la commande.
Une chose est sûre, quand je reviendrai à Granville, j’y retournerai et je ferai partager cette belle découverte à mes amis.

11/10/2023: Zero!!!!! The boss, if you can even call her that, would rather knit than take an order... She practically looked at me like, "What do you want?!" Not even worth going to a bar for fruit juice that's almost expired, not even a coffee machine or a Senseo... Go walk the streets and beg; you'll have fewer expenses and probably earn more, you look like nothing.
25/07/2023: If I could give negative stars, I'd rate my experience -10 stars.
- First, the cups and glasses weren't very clean.
- Second, my wife had an extra fruit fly in her hot chocolate.
In short, not great, and I think there are some serious hygiene issues to address.
