Hostellerie Le Mirabeau

Peyrolles-En-Provence
05/06/2026: We stayed two nights at this hotel-restaurant and our experience was generally disappointing. Upon arrival, we noticed the absence of pillows in the room. During our stay, the room wasn't cleaned and the towels weren't changed, which is the bare minimum expected in a hotel. The food was also a disappointment. In two evenings, we spent €96 on drinks and charcuterie boards. Despite this amount, we weren't offered any compensation. Even more surprising, we saw a complimentary digestif offered to the next table while we received no special attention. On the first evening, the owner even told us that "that was enough" and that we couldn't order anything more, a remark we found inappropriate and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the managers' attitude didn't improve our experience. They were neither particularly friendly nor customer-oriented. One evening, before we had finished our meal, they left to watch television, leaving us with the feeling that our presence was secondary. Being greeted the next morning by the owner in slippers also gave an impression of unprofessionalism. I'm giving it two stars instead of one because not everything was negative. However, the lack of attention to guests, the inadequate room cleaning, and the absence of customer service skills make us reluctant to return. It's a shame, because with more consideration for the guests, the experience could be much better.
05/06/2026: Following a short stay (2 nights), the welcome was lacking, with almost no politeness. On the first evening, after ordering a charcuterie board and a few aperitifs, the owner told us that was enough! I mentioned at dessert that my crème brûlée wasn't good, but she didn't react and went back to watching TV. On the second evening, we ordered a few more drinks and another charcuterie board. The meal went well until we realized that the cook and the waitress, who was also the manager, were in front of the TV. My colleague went outside for a cigarette, and when we returned to the restaurant, the lights were off; we might as well have gone to bed. The next day, when it came time to pay €96 for the aperitif and charcuterie board, there was no gesture of goodwill. I mentioned this to her, and again, no response! We simply felt like we were just passing through and had no interest in these people.
