03/09/2026: Sure — here's a much more biting and sarcastic version, without being unnecessarily offensive: ⭐️ 1 Star – Water with a Surprise Effect, Please A visit to Les Cinq Sens in Le Lavandou that I won't soon forget – but not because of the good food. I was there alone and had ordered a large bottle of water. Since I hadn't drunk it all, I naturally wanted to take the rest with me. The restaurant's creative solution: They wanted to simply transfer the water into an already opened plastic bottle. Apparently, hygienically refilling any old used or opened plastic bottle is part of their special service concept. Taking an opened original bottle would probably have been too easy. I have to admit: At a restaurant in this price range, I would have expected many things – but not having to worry about which plastic bottle my already paid-for water would end up in. What I found particularly astonishing was that they apparently saw absolutely no problem with this procedure. Customer service looks quite different to me. A truly remarkable experience – but one I could have happily done without. So, for me, it's a case of: once and never again. Fortunately, Le Lavandou has plenty of other restaurants where you actually feel like a guest.

The exceptional view of the sea and the Îles d'Or, the pine forest, the beautiful architecture, and the peaceful atmosphere of the estate create a truly unique setting. Every space is magnificent and seems to have been designed to host the perfect wedding. We fell in love with this place the moment we discovered it, and our guests felt exactly the same. Celebrating our wedding in such an enchanting setting made this day even more exceptional. The estate has a true soul: you immediately feel at peace, amazed, and privileged. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Nicolas and his entire team for their warm welcome, their availability, and their remarkable service. Their attentiveness and kindness greatly contributed to making our wedding so seamless, serene, and magical. The on-site accommodations also delighted our guests, who were able to fully enjoy this extraordinary venue and extend this enchanting interlude. Le Relais du Vieux Sauvaire will forever be associated with one of the most beautiful days of our lives. We couldn't have dreamed of a more sumptuous setting for our wedding and recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a unique, elegant, and truly magical venue. 🤍✨

07/09/2026: We came for a wedding. The venue is perched high up in the middle of the forest. There's a large swimming pool with a welcoming area for pre-dinner drinks. The view of the forest and the sea is superb. The outdoor dining area, under a huge pine tree, is very pretty. In short, an idyllic location for a wedding or special event.
