14/03/2026: My wife was abroad for the day so I decided to have a super outside for a change. I went to this Indochine restaurant. I asked for a place for one. I was surprised that I could see that the woman it was not happy as all the tables were laid out at least for two. So she point me to a hidden table in the way to the toilet despite the fact almost the whole restaurant was empty at 19:30. So I respectfully declined and she said, there is not a place for me. I said “no problem” and I went away. I went to The mitre, a restaurant close by, where I had a tasty rib eye steak. I am not planning to come back to the Indonesian restaurant anytime soon. Always I give 2 options to a restaurant. The first time I was there I got a glued rice that it was more like a brick other than food.
21/02/2026: My son, my husband, and I were very excited to have dinner at this restaurant on Saturday evening after mass. The dining room was three-quarters empty, and the manager, a charming woman, told us that all the tables were reserved. We weren't even offered the option of coming back later. "We're fully booked this Saturday until closing time," she told us. So we suggested takeout, to which the woman replied that the cook was working alone and our request couldn't be accommodated. Having our doubts, we left the restaurant and decided to try making a reservation by phone. Miraculously, we were offered a table over the phone at 9 pm, an hour and ten minutes after our visit, which had previously been impossible. So, I would have liked to rate the food, the service, and the atmosphere; however, the color of our skin is apparently a barrier for the Indochine restaurant. Unfortunately, I cannot impose myself somewhere where we are not welcome, what a shame... all we could suggest is having a sign in front of the entrance saying "We do not serve dinner to black people" it would have saved us a lot of frustration on this Saturday, February 21, 2026, when pushing open the door of your restaurant.
