07/07/2025: We went to this place because it got a high score on Google as a result of our search for a Turkish restaurant in Colmar. We ordered the Sultan Kebab menu for 2 people, it was around 64 euros, it included a variety of appetizers and 2 kunefe, we had a hard time finishing it. It was delicious, but if the appetizers came on separate plates, it would have been more appealing to my eye in terms of presentation, they got mixed up while eating, I deducted points from this and I deducted points because it included alcohol, because we went there as a result of our search for a halal restaurant.

01/12/2024: I can say that it is the only place where you can eat delicious food in the Alsace region. This determination is not about being Turkish or liking Turkish food. The fact that there are more foreigners than Turks in the restaurant is proof of this. The food is very delicious, the portions are very large, this is a clean and warm place. The presentation of Turkish coffee especially wins hearts. It is an honor and pride to see photos of our Atatürk everywhere. We remembered the Turkey we missed and wanted to see, with its Ottoman motifs, palace breezes, our Ataturk and its friendly owners. It was beautiful. Be sure to come ❤️

12/09/2024: I visited Kalkan doner today, a kebab restaurant with a clean and pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant was well-maintained, However, the experience fell short in a few areas.
We ordered two kebabs: one standard and one Iskander. To our surprise, both looked exactly the same, with no noticeable difference between the two. While the food itself was decent, it wasn’t anything extraordinary to justify the price. The bill was surprisingly high—$39 for two kebabs and tea. For that price, we expected a bit more in terms of quality or portion size.

29/07/2024: Despite the aesthetics that I find basic and unappealing and a seemingly endless choice:
I was very surprised.
The staff is welcoming, friendly and patient.
The kebabs are certainly not huge but among the best I have tried in the region.
It is not for nothing that it is said that you should not judge a book by its cover.
By the way: Homemade harissa is just on point!
I would go back when I have the chance.

18/08/2024: Just ok but nothing more, I won't come back, it's too average compared to other kebabs but at least I tried before giving my opinion.
02/06/2024: My wife and I came to eat a kebab in this place, the kebab was very good, the bread hot and crispy, very well filled with meat with an excellent sauce. Not to mention the welcome, kindness and speed of service from the boss. We will return to this restaurant without hesitation.
