A fantastic restaurant worth trying! The team is young and dynamic, and the service is top-notch. They have a wonderful wine cellar with some real gems. We loved the all-you-can-eat tarte flambée on Friday nights, with truly delicious flammekueches! I highly recommend it!

A true gem in Ammerschwihr ✨ Amsel proves that excellence can be achieved with just three courses. The menu is intentionally simple, but the dishes are incredibly refined and perfectly executed. Seasonal, local, and typical ingredients... nothing pretentious, everything is elevated by flavor. Every bite is a delight. The welcome is just like the cuisine: sincere and warm. The owner is gentle, smiling, and attentive, and the owner... what a find! A passionate wine connoisseur with a sense of service and hospitality that immediately puts you at ease. Together, they create an atmosphere where you feel truly comfortable. Special mention goes to the wine cellar, a truly special experience: choosing your wine directly from the cellar, guided by precise, insightful, and never pretentious advice. The pairings are perfect, the bottles beautifully selected 🍷 And as if all that weren't enough… the musical ambiance 🎶 Guitar solos reminiscent of Bonamassa or Santana, enveloping the meal and adding an incredible soul to the place. You leave Amsel with only one desire: to return as soon as possible. A rare, genuine, and gourmet experience, where the dishes are exquisite, the wines superbly recommended, and the overall experience unforgettable. Absolutely not to be missed ❤️

We booked thinking it was the same owners as two years ago. We had a fantastic dining experience then (a generous and excellent menu for under €30). So we were disappointed by what was offered, both in terms of quantity and quality. The dishes are expensive, the tableware basic, and the garnishes identical regardless of the dish. Unfortunately, we won't be going back.

We've been many times, and yesterday we weren't disappointed either. After some very tasty starters, including the panisses and the wild boar terrine, we were craving the sauerkraut on the menu. It was perfectly portioned, and the accompanying meats were delicious. The cabbage had only a hint of acidity and was cooked to perfection. Well done, a simple dish, but very well executed. We greatly appreciate the change in chef, which allows the restaurant to reinvent itself with the seasons. Regularly offered themed menus add a touch of spice and introduce new flavors while maintaining a focus on local products. The wine selection is excellent, showcasing many local producers served in the finest regional restaurants.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The staff was very pleasant, and we had a great rapport with them. The dining room is lovely and inviting. The food was delicious, and the service was quick; for our first restaurant visit in Alsace, we weren't disappointed. The small play area for children was a nice touch. The wine was excellent, with a wide selection and a very well-stocked cellar. The prices were a bit high, but in line with other restaurants we've tried in the area (the price of €50-60 per person includes a sparkling wine, a starter, a main course, and a bottle of wine shared between two people).
