First time we choose this place for a meal. Typically Alsatian place. Small room but that's what we were looking for: authenticity. The dishes are copious, the history of the restaurant, the cellars, the butchery and the stables is told to us. Thank you again for taking us on a journey and taking us with you to the Alsace of yesteryear.

Went to Ammershwihr last Saturday and randomly walked into this restaurant for lunch. We seem to be the only guests in that quiet afternoon. The atmosphere was very cozy and family-like, run by a warm, kind couple that reminds me of my own grandparents. The entrecote was very nice with a fresh scent of herb butter. My friend and I didn't speak French and the owner didn't speak English, but he treated us with great kindness and patience, and showed us his collection of 2022 Beijing Olympic torch! We really appreciate them for taking care of us and adding this sweet little surprise to our Alsace memory. 🥰

18/10/2024: Excellent resto avec bcp de choix de plats typiques mais aussi sophistiqués français du terroir (avec des plats du sud ouest par ex) et on etait 3, et on a pris 2 terrines (bon vieux pâtés !) et chacun un ris de veau (avec sauce girolles) accompagné d’une délicieuse purée maison. Le ris de veau n’est pas donné (le plat est facturé €42) mais il vaut le coup car d’une excellente facture! Le resto etait plein. Le quartier (entre metro Iéna et métro Alma-marceau) n’est pas très connu pour son choix de resto (je dirais que ce coin est moribond question resto!) mais ce Bizetro est excellent. En payant au comptoir, la chef de salle a cru reconnaître l’acteur du Diner de Con (pas celui qui joue francois pignon mais le lucien cheval, l’inspecteur des impots) et on a bien rigolé… Bref, un bon moment dans un très bon resto !
06/10/2024: Ouvert uniquement en semaine. Nécessaire de réserver. Pas mal de choix avec de bons produits. On s’y sent bien, c’est chaleureux.
