Abbaye de Talloires - La Table de Cezanne sur Talloires

We had a wonderful weekend at Talloires Abbey. The building is beautifully renovated and presented, the service is impeccable, and the on-site parking is a huge plus. The bedding is perfect. The breakfast buffet is delicious with many homemade products. We left with stars in our eyes and we will be back!

Fantastic experience at the abbey. The "Monk" rooms are incredibly comfortable, and the building's architecture has been carefully preserved and showcased. The restaurant is amazing, the breakfast is incredibly generous, and the outdoor setting is exceptional... 👍 + Impeccable service!

The room was very nice, but the bathroom was impractical for elderly people: a shower in the bathtub (a dangerous and outdated concept), and the toilet was very low. The designer clearly didn't sit on it, and of course, the toilet paper was behind you! Why put it next to you to make things easier? The restaurant was excellent, but too limited if you have a Groupon gift voucher. The "Excellence" menu was very good, succulent but rather sophisticated... a bit long. The staff were charming, professional, and warm. A special mention to Clémentine, the sommelier... Her professionalism, simplicity, humor, and availability brightened our two evenings. The room service staff were charming and helpful. The relaxation area, however, was poorly designed for us. It was dangerous, even inaccessible, and too crowded because it's open to the outside; we didn't feel privileged to be in a 4-star hotel. Specific times should be reserved for hotel guests. We weren't able to fully enjoy this space. In any case, the room was wonderfully period-style, which we appreciated.

We stayed one night at the Abbey and it was a wonderful experience. Sites steeped in history are far more interesting than brand-new, soulless hotels. At this abbey, particular care has been taken in restoring and preserving ancient features: doors, fireplaces, and calligraphy. The spa is very pleasant, and we also really enjoyed the swimming pier.

We had coffee on the terrace overlooking the lake! Magnificent! The only downside was that the waitress had stains on her uniform, and for a restaurant, bar, and hotel of this caliber, that's not very pleasant…

A truly magical moment, a magnificent terrace setting, delicious food, wow! Excellent service (elegant, attentive, yet simple and approachable), excellent wine and non-alcoholic pairings. We truly had a timeless experience and left with wonderful memories. A huge thank you! Can't wait to come back and try the bistro-style menu!

Our stay was a complete success: a warm welcome, a superb room, and a generous breakfast buffet. The staff's efficiency deserves special mention. Having forgotten a pair of cufflinks, I was able to use them for the evening in barely an hour, thanks to the quick thinking of the reception manager and the helpfulness of the director's son! Many thanks to them.

We had a wonderful time at Talloires Abbey. The place is calm, peaceful, and ideal for relaxation. Our requests were taken into account with great care when assigning our room, and we were even surprised to be upgraded. It was a short stay, which didn't allow us to experience all the amenities the abbey has to offer. But we're already looking forward to returning and fully discovering everything the abbey has to offer.

What a delight this hotel is... One of the best experiences I've had so far for a 4-star hotel, which deserves a fifth star. The staff is incredibly attentive and professional, the gourmet restaurant is fabulous, the spa/relaxation area is very well-equipped—in short, a gem. I truly hope to find the opportunity to return to enjoy the scenery, the cuisine, and the warm atmosphere of this iconic place once again.

Perfect, nothing to say except that the spa area lacked sufficient relaxation space, neither for sitting nor lying down, and the hammam was a bit of a joke… A shame.
