African Lounge sur Paris

We stopped by on a Sunday evening and were warmly welcomed and seated. The food was excellent; the dishes were very good and generous, so much so that we ended up getting takeout. The cocktails were a 10/10—delicious and well-made. The restaurant is quite small, but that has its charm. The only downside was the music being too loud. Later, they turned it down completely, so we could all hear each other talking. Ideally, there would be something in between, perhaps a little background music. But overall, we really enjoyed our visit.

Good evening, we ate very well and in large quantities

The food was good, beautifully presented, and the portions were reasonable. I loved their ginger juice. I found the place smaller than I expected. Upon entering, I wasn't greeted. The only person there had their back to me at the entrance, and the noise of our arrival didn't make them turn around. I had to go over to get their attention, and even then, I didn't receive the welcome I was expecting. I explained that I had a reservation, but she simply asked us to follow her and seated us at a table. We were so close to the other diners that it felt like we were eating with them. I had booked for a birthday, but in the end, it was as if I hadn't booked at all. We were a bit disappointed overall. I don't think I'll go back. It wasn't a welcoming place for me. And the price we paid, 100 euros for two people, was too high for what we ate.

Excellent experience at this African restaurant! The food is very generous, flavorful, and authentic. The atmosphere was wonderful, especially on the night of the AFCON final: incredible energy and genuine conviviality. Special mention for their special hot ginger recipe, absolutely delicious and comforting. A place I highly recommend!

Nothing to say, very satisfied overall

Excellent bissap, perfectly flavorful without being too sweet. I found it to be a generous and delicious example of African cuisine. The dishes are hearty and tasty. The service is good and on time for lunch. I recommend making a reservation as the restaurant isn't large, but it's not noisy. For those who want to discover African cuisine from various countries, I highly recommend this place.

Great ambiance, not so great service but the food was delicious and the portions generous. So it was kind of worth the wait. I think the best thing is to order ahead before arriving.
