African Lounge sur Paris

Here is my assessment of my time with my family in this restaurant. Strong points : - Copious and tasty dishes: I ate really well, since the time I had planned to go there during a visit to Paris. - Beautiful setting, well located. Areas for improvement : - The (non-)reservation system: arrived at 4 without reservation as they allow and above all, as mentioned on their site, we were made to wait outside under the pretext that people who had reserved were due to arrive - without knowing their arriving time. We were brought in, taking care to tell us that if those who had reserved arrived, we would have to hurry to make room for them. Perhaps we should think about systematically taking reservations to optimize services. - The nonchalance of the waitresses: it doesn't look very professional to drag your feet, take an order n times without taking notes and without ever bringing back the requested drink. Maybe the day was complicated...

We have already come 4 times because we live more than an hour's drive from here, a very good African atmosphere, copious and excellent meals! I recommend 100%! The taste and aromas are present, for me the best African restaurant in the region!

We had a very pleasant time. Being pregnant, I ate little, but the rest of the guests enjoyed their dishes so I validate the cooking. I had the opportunity to choose the table for greater comfort, everything we asked for was brought back (water, side dish, etc.) no omission, so I validate the service provided. Finally, despite the crowds and the cozy space, we heard each other talking, so I validate the atmosphere and the decor. Some servers are more attentive than others, but I remain pleasantly surprised by the service. Price level: taking into account the location, the products, the taste and the service, the price remains correct although it is not the most affordable.

The cuisine is excellent, the dishes are very generous but the service really leaves something to be desired. 1 hour to be served. The servers are not at all pleasant.

The nice surprise of the start of the year. A stone's throw from the Champs Elysees we decided to have an African dinner. Online booking required. A welcoming security guard at the entrance and after a short wait for our table to be ready, we were warmly received. One of the very nice waiters with a beautiful Chanel bodysuit accompanied us all evening. The Ndole special African lougne is simply delicious as for the pastels as an aperitif we didn't leave a crumb. I tried champagne bissap… and I want more! Yum. They also serve hot ginger (delicious and invigorating in winter)... the braised chicken was a little tough but good and the joloff rice was good too. Allow €8 for each side dish (aloko, attieke, foufou, manioc stick, etc.) we enjoyed ourselves. So much so that we forgot to photograph our meals 😅 it was cold by the end of the meal.
