African Lounge sur Paris

I really like this restaurant, but the problem remains the staff; there are always issues.

Incredible, super friendly, great value for money 10/10, it's amazing! The welcome was top-notch - the dishes were fantastic - a flawless experience, even though we hadn't booked.

When back there it was poop don’t they is a gay guy there who thinks that he is God

I ate there with my Guinean friend who was visiting Paris. A real treat! Very flavorful dishes, excellent chilies (very hot too). And the rice!!! If you happen to be from the restaurant and are reading this, I would love to know how you cook your rice; I've never eaten any so good. I would be delighted to have your recipe, thank you very much. Best wishes!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We turned up at Afro Fusion Cuisine without a reservation and, despite how busy the restaurant was, they still managed to accommodate us. We were initially asked to wait, and the owner herself even came out to speak with us and reassure us that they would get us seated — and they did! Once we got our table, the food took a little time to arrive, but it was absolutely worth the wait. The portions are HUGE, and everything was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had the fish, while I had the oxtail with goat meat and jollof rice honestly, so so good. Even the drinks came in incredibly generous portions! What stood out to me just as much as the food was the owner. As a west African woman myself, it was genuinely lovely to see another woman from west African running such a beautiful restaurant in Paris and doing it so well. She wasn’t just standing back overseeing things either she was hands-on, helping her team, serving customers and making sure everything was running smoothly. You can see the amount of work and care that goes into the restaurant. The space itself is absolutely beautiful, modern, clean, sleek and very well designed. The atmosphere was lovely, and the customer service was top-notch from beginning to end. Amazing food, generous portions, beautiful surroundings and wonderful hospitality. We are leaving extremely happy and will absolutely be back whenever we’re in Paris again. Five stars from us.Ireland❤️🇫🇷

Lovely food. Was quick and good portion. Good value for money. Staff are very friendly and respectful.

I ordered ndolè, and being Cameroonian, I found it very similar to our Cameroonian ndolè. The food wasn't reheated like we're used to seeing, so it's nice to know that each dish is prepared with care for the customer. The portions were very generous; we had to take it all home.

I am writing this review because, despite having lived nearby and eaten at African Lounge for years, I had never actually looked at their Google reviews. I was genuinely surprised to see some of the negative ones, so I thought it might be helpful to share the perspective of a regular customer and explain a little about how the restaurant works. First of all, patience is key. If you are in a hurry or simply do not like waiting, this may not be the restaurant for you. Their food is prepared with care, and you simply cannot hurry perfection. Secondly, their prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity of food they serve. Good food costs money, and in my experience, African Lounge delivers excellent value. Today, for example, I called ahead and picked up dinner for two for €106. The portions were so generous that we will easily be eating the leftovers tomorrow. The restaurant itself is very cosy, with fairly close seating arrangements. Reservations are possible, but depending on how busy they are, you may still need to wait while they clear and prepare your table properly. Personally, when I do not feel like waiting, I simply call ahead and order takeaway. Lastly, I saw a review saying that there were no English-speaking staff members. Again, this has not been my experience at all. I suspect that some of the negative reviews may have come from people judging the restaurant based on a single visit, which is why I wanted to add the perspective of someone who has been coming here consistently for years. African Lounge is truly exceptional: generous portions, excellent food, fair prices and a place I am very happy to have in my neighbourhood.

Excellent restaurant, with delicious flavors and generous portions. The service is good, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I recommend it.

I'm giving 4 stars only because I'm cheap 😊 For me, you're the best African restaurant I've ever tried in Brussels, Berlin, or Milan. Well done for making us proud. I stopped by today, August 5, for lunch. Sauce graine avec viande is top 👍🏻
