Lovely family-run Moroccan restaurant. We had coucous with lamb, beef balls, chicken and merguez sausages as well as lemon chicken. The meat and vegetables were tender and juicy. They were clearly prepared with attention and care. We had loukoums (Turkish delights) and baklava for desserts. There is an assortment of products such as wine, condiments, spices and sweets for sale as well. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. He gave us a great tip to visit Espelette, which we really enjoyed. This is a really great find right in the center of Bayonne. As a bonus, right next to it is one of Bayonne's cool giant murals.
Very good discovery! Simple and delicious cuisine, special mention for the pastries: rose-almond Turkish delights to die for.
Top service with a real enthusiast who explains everything about his cuisine.
A big plus: you can even leave with ready-made products: jars of tagine and couscous mixes, full of different hummus (from memory, candied lemon, Espelette pepper...) and other bags of small biscuits.
All in a nice and accessible neighborhood.
