Al soledo sur Douarnenez

Nice decor with an old motorcycle, TV, etc... Set menu (starter, main course, and dessert) €17.50 including sausage tartare (very nice), seafood casserole (very good), and a coconut flan. Perfect.

My family and I were staying above this restaurant for our 2 week holiday in Douarnenez and we dined here the first night and last night. We found here child orientated with children's menu and choice of pizza, 'steak hache' or ham and chips and 2 scoops of icecream and lemonade or syrup water for €10.50. The children were offered colours and paper for them to occupy themselves and a chewy sweet each at the end. I was really impressed that the children's pizzas were individualised with unique shapes eg heart for our little girl and bear for our little boy on the first night. This is the first time that this has happened so kudos to the chef. I enjoyed the Moules frites with creme both nights at €18 and my husband was satisfied with the Cannibale pizza for €15.50 both nights. Both nights, we shared 50cl of white wine for €9. Both my husband and I opted for Gateau nantais which was served with icecream and cream the first night. Delicious. Second night, my husband couldn't resist the Gateau nantais again but I couldn't leave France without trying a creme brulee. Both excellent. The kids were contented with their two scoops of icecream each both nights. We both thoroughly enjoyed the meals here both nights. Staff were friendly. Relaxed service which suited us. Highly recommended. We thought it was very good value. Fabulous views also of Ile Tristan and the other side of Douarnenez. Tips: Formule du midi good value 3 course for €17.50 and plat du jour €12.50. Great kids menu!

We had two salads; they were beautiful, delicious, and generous, and the service was very pleasant. The view overlooks Tristan Island and the Crozon peninsula. It's away from the more touristy areas. The price is reasonable. I highly recommend it.

A very pleasant restaurant. The vintage atmosphere is perfectly captured in the decor. A beautiful view from the terrace between Tristan Island and the port. The portions were very generous with a good selection on the menu; we had a lovely time. Not to mention the friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommended!

The staff were incredibly kind and funny, the food delicious, I highly recommend it, it's a beautiful place with a magnificent view, perfect for a great time!!

I went two weeks ago and I've never had such a good flammekueche! The portion was more than generous. The waitress was fantastic, very helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be back 😇.

A wonderful discovery! While passing through Douarnenez, the staff were very friendly, the food was homemade, and we thoroughly enjoyed it!! Very reasonable prices, both for the set menu and à la carte options. A must-try!

Excellent value for money. A nice, unpretentious little restaurant with a view of the harbor and generous, delicious dishes. Friendly staff. A great find. Some background music like jazz or old rock would be a nice touch for the atmosphere.
