Alaturka sur Dordives

On the road to Montargis, I recommend stopping in Dordives at the Alaturka restaurant. The food is home-style, very generous but affordable, and delicious. Everything is homemade, which is a real plus.

Best kebab I've ever tasted. The bread is homemade. They're absolutely enormous and very generous with the meat. I wish I'd discovered it sooner. The staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable. Definitely worth trying!

I highly recommend this restaurant; we enjoyed some delicious specialties. The kebab, with its soft bread and delicious meat, was truly a treat. The service and atmosphere are very pleasant. I was only passing through, but I'll definitely go back next time!

This isn't our first time here, and frankly, I think it's the best kebab in the Loiret region. We arrived at 8:30 pm. We were first told they were out of chicken kebabs, then the waitress left without even seating us. She came back to tell us they were out of kebab meat too, then left again. We had to insist to get an explanation. What did that actually mean? That we had to leave? That there was something else to eat? In the end, no more kebabs, no more grilled meats… But no one explained it clearly. Was the restaurant closed? Is it really so difficult to take a minute to properly inform customers? It's a huge disappointment. We live 40 minutes away and we make a point of coming all the way here because we enjoy your restaurant. The occasional shortage of certain products is understandable, that's not the issue. However, the customer service and communication really need improvement.

Honestly, this restaurant deserves 5 out of 5 stars. I heard their story, from a dingy "broom closet" to this prestigious establishment, and this family truly deserves it. It's one of the best Döner Kebabs I've ever had in my entire life. It's in my top 3, and not just third, no exaggeration, it's absolutely delicious. The meat, the bread, the fries, the sauces—everything is homemade. The portions are generous, the flavors are generous—what more could you ask for? It's simply perfect! It's true that the first impression doesn't exactly make you want to stop here, but I urge you, do! 🙏 Their former location has become a pizzeria, which they also run. So if their pizzas are as good as their kebabs, I don't give much for other places to compete. I removed one star because I asked for extra sauce and they charged an additional €1... It's really a shame, I hope they realize this after this review. Well done and thank you for what you do 🫡
