Alix et Mika sur Paris

As someone who absolutely loves tartare, this was one of the restaurants I was most excited to visit during my trip. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being a bit more mixed than I had hoped. We ordered the platter designed for two people, which included several different styles of tartare. The concept was interesting and allowed us to sample a variety of flavors, but the dishes were somewhat different from what I had imagined beforehand. There was nothing particularly bad about the food—in fact, some of it was quite enjoyable—but overall it didn’t quite deliver the level of excitement I was expecting. If I had to choose a favorite, it would probably be the French-style beef tartare, which had the most balanced flavor and was the standout of the selection. The fish tartares were fresh and pleasant enough, but they didn’t leave a lasting impression. Given the restaurant’s specialization, I had hoped for something a little more memorable or unique. The biggest disappointment of the evening, however, was the wine. We ordered a Bourgogne, but it was served noticeably too warm, which significantly affected both the aroma and flavor. As a result, it was difficult to appreciate the characteristics one would normally expect from a Burgundy wine. The glassware was also quite small, which further reduced the overall enjoyment of the wine experience. To be fair, the service was polite and professional throughout the meal. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and I have no complaints regarding the hospitality. Perhaps my expectations were simply very high because I am such a fan of tartare, but I left feeling slightly underwhelmed. While the concept is appealing and the service is good, the food and wine did not fully live up to what I had hoped for. Not a bad experience by any means—just one that didn’t quite meet expectations. 🍷🥩

Freshest and most flavorful beef tartare we’ve ever had. Very creative sauces. Highly recommend!
