Alizea Hôtel sur La Rochelle

A lovely experience at the Alizea hotel near the center of La Rochelle. It's modest, simple, clean, comfortable, well-located, and has excellent customer service. I highly recommend it.

Great place to sleep in La Rochelle, simple, clean, and the location is excellent, close to the center.

The initial welcome was very polite, despite the brief phone conversation. However, I must point out a few things if you're considering booking this hotel: there is absolutely no soundproofing (you can clearly hear your neighbor's conversation), and the rooms smell of cigarettes. This isn't entirely the owner's fault, but rather the result of some guests not respecting the rules. Therefore, I would say that an overnight stay at this hotel isn't fantastic and the price is a bit high for what you get (€60 here, whereas the room is worth a maximum of €50).
