Aphrodite sur Bordeaux

Very nice discovery in Bordeaux. Guaranteed trip to Greece and the grilled octopus is a treat.

Really nice terrasse in historical neighbourhood of Bordeaux, friendly staff, service was prompt and the food was tasty, dishes were fresh and colorful. I was disappointed by the wine service as I ordered a bottle of Assyrtiko and was given a bottle of Chardonnay without telling us. It’s only when they brought the bottle covered by an ice pack, poured the wine and left that I realised the wine tasted different and it was really not the one I ordered. Asked the staff who came back explaining they ran out and thought this was would be the same, therefore a good replacement. I was not happy with this explanation. They offered us a shot of a digestive to compensate but alas as a wine person, disappointed with wine service especially with the bill. Felt the dinner was tasty but in terms of experience it was not entirely satisfying and overpriced.

Despite a bit of a wait between our starters and the main courses, we ate very well. The starters were varied and the dishes very generous! The terrace is also very nice.

Traditional Greek restaurant in Bordeaux. A very good experience overall, between the food, the service and the atmosphere. The Kalamarakia was tasty and fresh, and the Keftedes, well seasoned, went perfectly with their lemon yogurt sauce. The moussaka was excellent, and I really enjoyed this dish, while my friend devoured his Arni Fournou with delight. On the other hand, we were not convinced by the desserts: the Baklava and the Aphrodite did not seem very pleasant to us.

We had the pleasure of dining at the Aphrodite restaurant in Bordeaux with our group of Brazilians, and the experience was simply exceptional. The cuisine is delicious, with authentic flavors that enchanted us all. Each dish was a treat for the taste buds. A special thanks to Corentin, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Her attentive service and kindness really enhanced our evening and made the experience even more memorable. Thank you to the entire Aphrodite restaurant team for this unforgettable evening!

Okay food, not authentic Greek, more of a French take on greek food. Expensive but nice setting and good service

The food is always delicious, the servers are pleasant and smiling. We will come back.

It's good and plentiful, but way too expensive for what it is. We bring you the pita bread without having ordered it, so we say to ourselves that the first basket is free: NO! Of course, it's 1€ but unfair. Pleasant staff. Pleasant terrace.

We ate as a couple, 2 starters and 2 main courses, the food is quite good, the service average: the waiters are not very cheerful (except for one waitress). The price of the bill seems exaggerated to me considering the cuisine and the service.

Une belle transformation ! L’établissement proposait il y a quelques années des plats typiques grecs dans la plus pure tradition de taverne. Avec les années, Aphrodite a su se mettre au goût du jour, en donnant une touche plus bistronomique à ses plats, tout en gardant ses origines traditionnelles. Au menu, les poulpes et les calamars sont toujours aussi excellents, tout en ayant gagné en légèreté. N’hésitez pas à profiter de la terrasse fort agréable. Clientèle touristique, prix dans une fourchette un peu haute pour Bordeaux, mais excellente expérience culinaire. Au top !
