Apicius sur Nimes

We stayed there for 7 days in July with our two children. A superb experience! The staff were incredibly attentive. The rooms were beautifully decorated, the bedding comfortable, the gym fully equipped, and we enjoyed a lovely view of the pool while working out. We loved the peace and quiet, the cleanliness, and the generous and varied breakfasts. The restaurant had a great menu and the ingredients were high quality – a real treat! We thank the entire team!

Nice hotel for transit to holiday destination

Having come to Nîmes for The Cure concert, we chose this hotel somewhat randomly, mainly for its swimming pool. I want to thank the night staff who took excellent care of us, putting up with us at the bar until all hours!... and a special mention to the young hotel manager whose professionalism is rare enough to warrant highlighting. She has all the makings of a successful career in business.

A nasty surprise awaited us upon arrival at the hotel: a security deposit for the full amount of our stay was held (not released). Having not been informed of this when booking, and having reserved several rooms, I panicked for a moment! Fortunately, the receptionist's kindness made me forget about this. It's worth noting that for accounts with capped payments, the hotel offers the option of paying for the rooms at the end of the stay using the deposit held at departure, which avoids such inconveniences. The room itself was lovely and very comfortable. However, the bathroom was very outdated, with a leaky showerhead. The hotel could use a refresh! The hotel is very well located, close to restaurants. The breakfast is not worth €22; the selection is poor. We had to call the hotel to get back in at night because the security guard wouldn't let us in. The pool was great; I really enjoyed it. We were surprised that this hotel has four stars. It's okay in a pinch, but we won't be returning.

Passing through Nîmes, we stayed in this hotel worthy of the very best at a lower price… Wonderful spaces, very pleasant and welcoming staff, I can only recommend this establishment.

A wonderful experience at the Grand Hôtel de Nîmes. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, the staff are welcoming and always available, and the location is ideal for exploring the region. You feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Thank you to the entire team for their professionalism and kindness; I will gladly return!
