The location isn't the most touristy, being a bit out of the way from the sea, and the building isn't flashy, but as soon as you step inside, the magic happens. The dining room is warm and very elegant, the welcome both highly professional and unpretentious, charming without being intrusive. And, of course, there's the food, magnificent and flavorful from the appetizer, with its beautiful sabayon, to the dessert (but what is this incredibly light and utterly decadent all-chocolate dessert???). In short, truly top-notch cuisine for a wonderful experience... and then we go see the sea!

While on holiday with my wife celebrating our anniversary, we discovered this wonderful restaurant just a short distance from where we were staying. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the excellent food, warm atmosphere, and attentive service. One standout dish was the Blue Lobster from our coasts, beautifully prepared and served with a rich sabayon made from the carcasses, accompanied by candied apricot with rosemary. The combination of flavours was exceptional and showcased both creativity and superb technique. Everything about the experience made our special occasion even more memorable. We would thoroughly recommend L'As de Trèfle to anyone visiting Bernières-sur-Mer or the Caen area. It is absolutely worth a visit, and we look forward to returning.
