We managed to book a table on the terrace just a few hours in advance, which was a wonderful surprise. The location is magnificent, and the sea view is one of the restaurant's greatest assets. It's an ideal spot to soak up the Niçoise atmosphere while admiring the coastline. To start, we chose the Fritto Misto and the Courgette Blossom Fritters. These two appetizers, very representative of Niçoise cuisine, were excellent. The portions were generous, the ingredients fresh, and the cooking perfectly executed. A truly delightful way to begin the meal. For our main courses, we opted for the Sea Bass Fillet and the Octopus Niçoise. The sea bass fillet was remarkable: perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful flesh, and well-balanced accompaniments. It's a dish we would recommend without hesitation. However, our experience with the octopus was more mixed. This is the restaurant's signature dish, and we had high expectations. Visually, the presentation was superb, and the octopus was cooked to perfection: the texture was tender yet still had a distinct character. However, we found the seasoning extremely salty, with a very pronounced acidic flavor. This combination unfortunately overpowered the octopus's taste and made the dish difficult for us to enjoy. It's quite possible that this is a traditional Niçoise recipe and that it's simply a matter of personal taste. We generally prefer more balanced and less salty seasonings. Therefore, we recommend that future diners research this style of preparation before ordering this dish. If you enjoy bold Mediterranean flavors, it will likely appeal to you. However, if you are sensitive to salt, you might be better off choosing something else on the menu. Despite this slight disappointment with the octopus, the overall experience remains very positive. Between the quality of the appetizers, the excellent sea bass fillet, the beautiful setting, and the pleasant atmosphere of the terrace, we had a wonderful time. A truly excellent restaurant in Nice that we readily recommend, with just one small reservation regarding the octopus à la Niçoise, which may be a matter of personal taste.
