Au Bon Coin sur Porto-Vecchio

07/10/2026: Nice restaurant (it's the same as the one next door, "A Marendella," same menu, same prices, same food and cook... we went in to eat at A Tanna and left paying at Marendella... I don't understand the concept). Anyway, beautiful view of the bay... That's all. Average food. The octopus salad was decent, as was the fish soup. However, the stufatu (veal stew) was far from a success. I know carrots aren't essential in this recipe, but they add a touch of sweetness that's not insignificant. I also didn't find any prisuttu (a type of wild boar) on my plate... Nor did I find any maquis herbs... the wild boars must have eaten them... And please, for goodness' sake, stop serving it with fries! 🤬🤬 Pasta, or mashed potatoes, or even purée... But no fries... Or at least put it in big letters at the entrance of the restaurant. I won't even mention my pavlova, which I think is €11 on the menu. In short, a tourist trap... And I, being a tourist, was well and truly caught. No complaints about the service, though; the job was done properly and with a smile.

24/09/2026: Deli meats and cheeses are better sold by weight at the supermarket for much less money...
