A perfect ribeye steak, friendly service despite the season and the crowds.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed the generous and delicious dishes, all served in a very friendly atmosphere. It's the perfect place for a gourmet break. I particularly loved the fresh salad with cheese toast—it was delicious. We'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

The setting was very pleasant, with a lovely terrace, a nice location, and decent pizzas, along with a fairly varied menu. The wait was also short. However, the service was a bit disappointing. When we asked the young waitress if she had any appetizers, she replied "I don't know" instead of checking, which surprised us a little. Perhaps it was simply a lack of experience, as on our previous visits there were... Anyway, she was still friendly and smiling. The young male waiter with glasses, on the other hand, seemed rather unfriendly and uninterested in his work, making some comments and jokes to the customers that we found quite inappropriate. A shame. A little more warmth and a better sense of service would have really made a difference.

We ordered two pizzas, one chanterelle omelet, and one porcini mushroom pasta, plus drinks. We almost placed our order well after other customers had arrived... a slight oversight, but the service was still very quick after we ordered. As a vegan, I asked to modify the vegetarian pizza (remove the cheese, and they suggested adding porcini mushrooms). We really appreciated the effort they made to accommodate my dietary needs and the quality of the food. We thoroughly enjoyed it! The cocktails were very affordable and original, which we loved.

🍕 A culinary gem in La Chaise-Dieu! If you're visiting the magnificent La Chaise-Dieu Abbey, here's a must-try spot we just discovered and wholeheartedly recommend. As you leave the basilica, turn immediately left: you'll find a charming pizzeria that also offers an excellent menu of traditional dishes. What we loved: A warm and welcoming atmosphere: From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a big, genuine smile. A friendly atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease! Delicious and (very) generous cuisine: The portions are extremely generous without ever compromising on quality. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the perfect pasta carbonara, and I opted for excellent tripe with fries. Something for everyone: While we chose dishes from the menu, they also make wonderful and delicious pizzas. Unbeatable value for money: Despite the generous portions on our plates, the bill was remarkably light! A very pleasant surprise for a location so close to the monument. In short: A warm welcome, delicious and very hearty food, all at a more than reasonable price. Don't hesitate to stop by and support these deserving businesses! No need for photos, just go.

I'm from the area and I come back often. And the "wood-fired oven" is a must-visit every time: it's the place where we love to gather with family. The food is perfectly good, the value for money is unbeatable, and the service is always pleasant and cheerful. I've been going there for years and I've never been disappointed. However, during peak season, be aware that you need to make a reservation. When you're in the area, it's a must-try.
