Au gout du jour sur Saint-Ambroix

Disappointed by the Valentine's Day meal. Kir as an aperitif with very ordinary appetizers: small low-end puff pastries bought frozen in the supermarket (I know: I have already bought the same ones). No cold starter. The rest was good, but nothing more. For the price (40 €/person) we expected better. This meal served as a test for us... We won't come back to it.

A small restaurant, not very visible, set back in the city center... But a very good surprise. The Cévennes tripe was perfect, the whole meal also homemade. We feasted. Price-wise, it was very reasonable, €57 for 3 with aperitif, starter, main course, dessert and coffee. Really nothing to say. Don't hesitate... A restaurant to encourage.

Very pleasant welcome and service, excellent meal. No complaints other than not having known him before. We will come back.

Very warm welcome, the lady told us as soon as we arrived that there would be a bit of a wait because she had more people than expected. The wait is completely correct, the food is good and plentiful. To finish the bill, always with a smile and a reasonable bill. Well done👍
