Au Pays du Vietnam sur Paris

While taking a long walk around West Bank and it’s surroundings i stumbled upon this charming gem. From first glance you would think it’s just another wine bar, but when entering, a warm gentlemen named Clyde is welcoming me in and I’m seated at a table along the boat shaped bar counter, proposing a great variety of reds as well as whites. I went for a white Bourgogne Chardonnay, that was crisp, round and entangled my spirit and reminded my go-to choice of taste. I’d recommend to give it a go if you’re in Paris!!

A wonderful discovery late in the evening: a wine list with some real gems (according to my partner, a wine professional), excellent advice from the very friendly sommelier. In short, an intimate place where you feel right at home. Definitely worth discovering and returning to!

The wine was really delicious, so I wanted to buy a bottle. The selection changes from time to time, and if you go late, there are no seats available.

Now THIS is what I call a Bar a Vin. Not a noisy, tourist trap like so many establishments in the area. Interesting, varied wines; wonderfully prepared small plates; a simple, welcoming atmosphere, and a genial (and handsome) proprietor. A new favourite for us in Paris.

Delicious wine, though quite pricey. Very cozy atmosphere. Friendly owner.
