A very good experience. We ate very well. We received a warm and friendly welcome. We ate on the terrace overlooking the sea; it was a lovely time for us. A big thank you to the team who served us.

I just stopped there for a drink, but the setting makes you want to sit down at a table, listening to sailors' stories all night and emptying pints, you'd think you were in those pubs in the depths of Ireland.

We had mussels to take away last year, which were excellent, so we decided to eat in this year. The setting is very pretty, but the experience was a complete letdown. Admittedly, it was the long weekend of July 14th, and we can certainly understand the stock shortage. However, it would have been better to tell us they were out of mussels when we were given the menu, as that's what we came for. A big disappointment then, so we opted for whelks... only to be told, once again, that they were out! Why didn't they tell us at the same time as they did about the mussels? As for the food: The skate was good. The fried fish, on the other hand, was fried in name only. There was no children's menu. We were offered fish and chips, which turned out to be exactly the same as fried food (this wasn't mentioned beforehand either). The service was inattentive: we had to ask several times for ketchup for the children and a carafe of water. It's a shame; we came with high hopes.

This restaurant is supposed to be the best in Portbail. I can confirm it's fantastic. We sat outside under parasols. The food was divine. Like a Michelin-starred restaurant, but not nearly as expensive. In Germany, you'd easily pay 60 euros or more for the meal, two glasses of Muscat, and two espressos. Here, it was much less. I only glanced at the interior briefly while paying by card. It looks chic yet cozy. The staff were very friendly.

Friendly service and good, delicious food at a fair price. Thoroughly enjoyed the fresh Araignée crab and mussels with Roquefort sauce.
