Au Soleil sur Liebsdorf

I wanted to eat fried carp in the Sundgau region, I found this place online and it's a great find. The carp was delicious, the Alsatian wine excellent, the service very pleasant, I highly recommend it and I'll be back.

I wanted to order à la carte, but apparently lunchtime isn't the best time to go. So I ordered the set menu, veal stew, which was very good, but the portions were ridiculously small. Two pieces of veal, about 30 grams each, with homemade mashed potatoes the size of one potato! Dessert was a tiny slice of tart! For the price, you're better off going to Cheval Blanc and ordering their homemade foie gras. I'm happy to prioritize quality over quantity, but there are limits.

Recommended and booked by a client, we arrived at the restaurant just before closing time. The welcome was incredibly warm 🙂 The service was quick and the meal (set menu) was perfect 😊 for a very reasonable price considering the local produce 👍 The restrooms were superb and clean, which is worth mentioning, as we hadn't seen that before ☺️ In short, I highly recommend it 👍

A restaurant, what can I say? No frills, just authentic, delicious local cuisine. The plates were overflowing. I loved it, and judging by the number of customers, I wasn't the only one. The owner was in the kitchen, his wife in the dining room, the service was smooth, a kind word for everyone, simple decor: natural flowers, once again. Thank you for this meal.
