Auberge de la Dore, France sur Neronde-Sur-Dore

This is an excellent place. Despite my slightly late arrival and the restaurant being quite busy, they found me a table. The service was very pleasant, the meal simple but good, authentic cuisine, generous portions, and excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

What a discovery! We visit this region often, and as Dutch people, we are pleasantly surprised by the prices for lunch or dinner. However, here they take the cake. Starter, main course, cheese platter, and dessert for just €18.50 pp. For that amount, you also get a carafe of house wine and water on the table. The food is simple but flavorful and expertly prepared. The atmosphere is authentically French; as a tourist, you sit among the artisans—I love that!

A small restaurant just the way I like them! Excellent service and quality! Top-notch! Generous portions, beautifully presented, and always a warm welcome. The daily special is always excellent.
