We came for a quiet family evening to enjoy ourselves.
Unfortunately, when the aperitifs were served, the waiter spilled a glass of grenadine soda on my sweetheart's back.
I won't lie, it ruined our meal. The waiter barely apologized… A waitress then arrived and kindly offered to wash my sweetheart's shirt and jacket.
When the bill came, I was expecting a small gesture of goodwill or something complimentary. But no, nothing at all.
I'm really disappointed 😞

I'll only talk about the restaurant; this is my third time there, and until last Sunday I was satisfied. Except that last Sunday, they overbooked to make even more money without any regard for customer satisfaction. For our first course, we waited an hour and a half before being served, and only after complaining. There were even other customers around us wondering why we weren't being served! We had a reservation for 12:30 PM, and we left the restaurant at 3:30 PM. At 2:30 PM, they were still taking customers. After speaking with a member of the staff, they admitted to accepting 20% more customers than usual without charging extra for extra service. The food service was clearly failing. Ah, money...

A beautiful inn surrounded by nature where we spent a peaceful night. Comfortable room with a splendid view. The menu is extensive, but the food is worth the trip, special mention to the pastry chef, and the very pleasant staff. However, we were very shocked by the lack of consideration upon departure... No interaction whatsoever! You pay and you leave! Customers cannot be treated this way.

A well-established business 10 km from Gérardmer, beautiful setting, excellent cuisine, comfortable rooms, and a very warm welcome.
Hikers and visitors alike, I highly recommend this place.

During a weekend trip to Gérardmer, we discovered this place on Google and booked for the first night. The atmosphere was so welcoming, the service so pleasant, and the food so good that we went back the next day. The menu features mostly local dishes, which is a real plus.

A nice little inn, but the wait between courses is very long—two hours for a main course and dessert. Politeness and friendliness aren't always guaranteed. Nevertheless, the food is good and plentiful.
