Auberge des Franciscains sur Mulhouse

Great traditional food, and good service, thank you!

Auberge des Franciscains' simple yet characteristic menu seamlessly captures the rich identity of Alsatian cuisine, delivering the layered flavors of fermentation, stone ovens, and meats simmering for hours in earthenware pots directly to the plate. The subtle crispness and smoky aroma of the Flammekueche as it emerges from the oven whets the appetite, transforming into a true regional feast with cabbage balanced by the acidity of white wine and Choucroute, the pinnacle of a gently cooked offal-meat balance. Finally, when a pinch of cumin sprinkled on the characteristic Munster cheese from the Vosges Mountains meets the aromatic body of the Gewurztraminer, this menu transcends mere dinner, offering a fresh, intimate, and profoundly refined gastronomic experience that fully embodies the wine culture and winter culinary heritage of the Rhine Valley.

Excellent food and dessert. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Only downside: it was a bit noisy.

Very good traditional, homemade cuisine in a family atmosphere.

Very good experience. Excellent value for money for the dishes. Generous portions of delicious Alsatian cuisine. Desserts a bit more expensive. Overall, the meal price was good value for money.

My friend and I came to this restaurant last night. They had a group and they took the time to welcome us. And frankly, we had a great time. The food is very, very good and the staff is really lovely. Thank you to the whole team!

We enjoyed our experience at the Auberge des Franciscains. Delicious traditional dishes and friendly, professional service. We will be back!

A wonderful discovery, with typical dishes, extraordinarily well prepared, a real delight

I've never eaten such good fleishnacka! Really generous portions and high-quality food! I recommend it and will be back.

A very good experience; it's worth going off the main roads to take side streets to find this address.
