A magical place!
First, you'll meet Marie-Christine, the owner: her straightforward manner, her humor, and her heart of gold. Then her cat, Safran: a character just like her mother, with the same emotional intelligence. The delicious homemade dishes: a taste almost forgotten, the taste of yesteryear (my discerning palate is still reeling!). Charming little rooms, also with an old-fashioned feel: super comfortable bed (my back can attest to that), simple, clean, and quiet. All this in a pretty village in the Nièvre region. Finally, it's inexpensive, and there's a large parking lot 30 meters away.
In short, if you're looking for a "sterile globalization" style of decor, junk food, and fake smiles, look elsewhere!
