Auberge du Chateau sur Lignieres

Super petit restaurant réunionnais qui mérite sa réputation les plats sont excellents et copieux, le service parfait le patron sympa et souriant. Le prix est tout à fait attractif. J'ai passé un agréable déjeuner .

This restaurant is just a marvel. We are welcomed there by the owner, a charming gentleman and the dishes that we can taste are prepared by his wife, originally from Reunion Island from what I understand. When you arrive you can park easily in the small private car park belonging to the restaurant. Then we are installed in a simple and pleasant room decorated with a photo of the Reunion or a card representing it. Once seated we have the possibility to choose between 3 formulas: starter - main course / main course - dessert / starter - main course - dessert. From starters to desserts, the recipes offered feature island flavors with spices to warm the hearts but not inflame the throat and stomach. I was able to discover a cold starter full of colors and flavors, re-discover a rougail sausage even tastier than I remembered and was surprised by the sweetness of the sweet potato cake. The portions are very good and the value for money is perfect. We were just a little saddened to discover that there were not enough customers there when there was really nothing to complain about. GO travel to Reunion Island while being in Cher (Centre Val de Loire)
