Excellent meal. The prawns and Accras are to die for. The Bami is sublime… The sea bream is good but overcooked. Remember to reserve your coconut blancmange dessert, at the same time as your order, otherwise you risk running out 🥺 The owner is at the top and contributes greatly to the atmosphere of the restaurant. We will return with great pleasure even if the environment is no longer what it was on the shores of Lake Azur.

Juste excellent ! Cuisine raffinée, assiette dressée avec soin. Même les enfants ont le droit à une super présentation. Le Bamis & le colombo sont divins ! Les prix sont raisonnables. Personnels souriants, agréables. Une super adresse. Nous reviendrons !

Here is the photo that struck me directly in this restaurant, a plane tree which encompasses the veranda 🙃 After a pleasant reservation over the phone we arrived and were able to see a menu with a few products, perfect 👌 We just noticed that they did not offer a daily menu even though it is offered on the site. After asking the server he told us: “that the site is lying” Not really correct if that is indeed the case... The dishes and starters are very well cooked, full of flavor, although sometimes too much flavor which can hide certain ingredients. We finished with a dessert, which to my taste was disappointing both in consistency and presentation, A chocolate mousse left too long in the cold and therefore very frozen with an accompaniment (not specified) a scoop of chocolate ice cream, strawberries, a persimmon, I wasn't expecting it at all 😅 The waitress was perfect and offered me another dessert. Really appreciated. The prices are however very high, a little over 40th per person starter/main course/dessert And a bottle of beer for 7th! Not easy for small budgets. In short, overall, I still recommend this restaurant.

Everything is cooked and we enjoyed the Colombo and Bamis. On the other hand, some inconsistencies between what is announced and what is actually offered, it's a shame... No menus as advertised and the speculos tiramisu on the menu is in reality a coffee tiramisu with pieces of speculos + pistachio whipped cream and a scoop of chocolate ice cream... Sometimes too much and the enemy of good. Fairly high prices, allow between 40 and 50€ per person for starter, main course, dessert. We still ate well.

I can not rate the restaurant currently, what I can say: We were at the restaurant many times in the 1980ies. At the time traditional french cuisine: Potage Legume always as first course, varying main courses changing daily and as dessert magnificent home-made ice cream. Really great french kitchen. Local people were at the bar, drinking 'Pastis' and after dinner also 'Sauternes', which was cheap at the time. While hiking my parents experienced that the restricted access property of Francois Mitterrand was close by. Long time ago. Now, that's almost 40 years ago, and we haven't been there since then. But my impression from reading the menu and seeing the fotos is, that the owner Damien managed with love and dedication to offer a contemporary version, in Azure, near Lac de Soustons. This is a house with a very long french gastronomic history. We'll have to come back again, after so many years....
