Auberge du Tanet "Seestaedle" sur Soultzeren

At the end of the seemingly endless but perfectly passable access road, you'll fall under the spell of this place, literally clinging to the Tanet mountain. A very classic but expertly prepared menu, with a great team in the kitchen and dining room. Speaking of dining rooms, there are two, each a manageable size, not to mention the very pleasant terrace. The hiker's box? It's very good, but try the "Grandma's Chicken" for a change. 👍 And the daily specials are just as good. Today, filet mignon with mustard sauce. A real treat, and the sauce is absolutely delicious. For dessert? The original plum crumble. In short, an address to treasure. One last thing: remember to book! 😌

Fully booked for Easter weekend, but thanks to the mild weather, we were able to enjoy lunch on the terrace. The soups, charcuterie and cheese platter, vol-au-vent, duck pie, and shepherd's pie were all delicious and generous portions, skillfully prepared by the chef using fresh ingredients. Thank you to the owners and the entire team, whose goal is to bring pleasure and good cheer to their customers. We highly recommend this establishment.

Absolutely fantastic! But €35 for four half-liter beers is really steep! The friendly waiter explained that beer is simply very expensive in France! Still worth a visit!

Delicious and beautiful setting

Instead of a quick sandwich, a restaurant that truly recharges us! During a hike, we stumbled upon this mountain inn. Drawn in by the inviting terrace, we glanced at the menu: varied cuisine, expertly prepared local products, reasonable prices. We decided to step inside despite the meager sandwiches waiting for us in our backpacks (the foxes will thank us...). We were greeted warmly by the owner as soon as we entered. On the menu: delicious bone marrow followed by a particularly generous and flavorful kasler (a type of stew) accompanied by a roi (a type of rum) of the kind that is sadly all too rare. The dessert was simple yet exquisite, a marvelous sieskass (a type of brioche) with a generous drizzle of liqueur. The service was impeccable; thank you to the waitress for her smile and energy. We enjoyed chatting with the new owner, who kindly took a few minutes off from his kitchen to explain his passion for his craft and his dedication to quality work. We look forward to returning and, weather permitting, enjoying lunch on the terrace.
