A superb weekend at L’Herbe Tendre! **A truly warm welcome**, excellent cuisine, and the kind of gîte atmosphere we love: simple, friendly, and authentic. The setting is exceptional, in the heart of the Chartreuse mountains, ideal for hikes of all levels. We notably hiked the magnificent Cirque de Saint-Même, a challenging 4-hour trek. **A huge thank you to Élise and Brigitte for their hospitality and kindness. A wonderful place we will gladly return to!**

We received a very warm welcome as a couple on our 4-day hike in the Chartreuse mountains. The room was lovely and very comfortable. One small drawback: the restaurant is closed on Mondays, even for guests of the gîte. Still wanting to eat out, we had to go elsewhere (which was difficult to find as most restaurants are closed on Mondays).

We had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant. The welcome was warm, the produce fresh and locally sourced, and the dishes homemade, all at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Brigitte and Elise took over the guesthouse a few months ago, and we wish them all the best for the future because they've created a wonderful haven! First of all, the welcome is very warm and attentive, and everything is done to make you feel comfortable (hair dryer, games available, lovely summer garden). The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. We ended up staying two nights, and Brigitte was very accommodating. The meals were also very good (and generous!): ravioli, soup, tartiflette, etc. Finally, Brigitte offers massages: I tried the foot and back massages, and after a long hike, it was truly wonderful! In short, the owners do everything to make you feel at home, and we will gladly return if the opportunity arises.

Thank you so much for the accommodation, everything was perfect. It was either that or being run over by a 2-ton deer on a bicycle in the pitch black. (Excellent table service)

A beautiful guesthouse run by a lovely family. They offered us accommodation even though we were leaving for a night drive. Excellent service at the table!

A very warm welcome at this hostel after a long hike. The meal was delicious. I ended up staying the night; it was very clean, quiet, and pleasant. There's even a piano :) Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant 😊 We shared a fondue for two, which was delicious, and the children had charcuterie platters with homemade fries—everything was great! For dessert, I had a Poire Belle-Hélène, which was divine 😋 The owners have recently taken over the restaurant and are incredibly kind and welcoming. We wish them all the best and much success in the future! 😊
