Auberge le Sabot de Vénus sur Meaudre

We ate at the restaurant one evening at the beginning of March. We were delighted with our meal! The welcome was very pleasant. Finally, home-style cooking, a good selection on the menu, and very reasonable and affordable prices for many families. Moreover, the quality was excellent. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the delicious shepherd's pie (finally something other than nuggets for the children's menu!). We will definitely come back to try the other dishes on the menu. Note: the young waiter who served us was very professional and pleasant, which was much appreciated.

We didn't stay at the hotel; we only ate lunch there on a Wednesday. We had made a reservation, and we're so glad we did—the restaurant was packed! We know this restaurant well and have been going there regularly for several years. It's a sure thing: from the welcome to the service, everything is perfect. The cuisine, prepared by the owner, is excellent, flavorful, and made with fresh, local produce! At lunchtime, the €18.50 set menu is simply unbeatable: starter, main course, and dessert. At that price, on the Vercors plateau, you'd only get a measly salad with croutons and Bleu de Sassenage cheese, or just a fancy-sounding hamburger. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we were served, and the chef's visit at the end of the meal to greet us and ask if everything was alright was just the icing on the cake. A truly passionate restaurant, unpretentious and with an extensive menu, but with genuine quality.

We spent a weekend in Meaudre Autrans in December 2025 and stayed at Le Sabot de Vénus. We had absolutely no complaints; the evening meal was excellent, as was the breakfast. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the welcome was warm and friendly. Thank you to them! We highly recommend it.

A small hotel with neat, tastefully decorated rooms at a reasonable price. The restaurant is also good value for money. The setting is inviting for a stroll.
