ND of the Coral
Would we suspect that there would appear in the middle of these deciduous woods, with their proud, haughty appearance, a company of solidly rustic buildings to withstand the cold weather, storms and extreme cold which mold all things in these heights of the Vallespir, surrounding a chapel with a single nave at the uncertain age, 14, 15, 16th century?
The story is unique, illustrated by colorful panels hung in the upper chapel: a bull scratched the earth daily under a large oak, this behavior intrigued a rural man who dug up the ground to discover a relic of the Virgin.
On the Col d'Ares route, 4 km of forest track, passable but at a slow pace, are a prerequisite for approaching the site lost in the forest, then 700 meters of pedibus will complete the access route.
Vinoth, a friendly and welcoming caretaker, offers drinks, meals and bedtime. No overcrowded dormitory, surrounded by old smells, fart noises and loud snoring. These are small rooms for 4 to 6 people. Meals are served under the foliage or in case of bad weather in a well-equipped refectory. The lodge keeper creates dishes with lots of natural food, not frozen or from industrial machinery, for example a chicken curry which delights the taste buds.
Pets are welcome, they will be accommodated in a canteen on the ground floor.
Everyone will benefit from learning about the noble destiny of this site, to which we wish a long life.
