We're returning to this place for the second time, this time with friends. The building is incredible; you can feel the weight of history. Our host is attentive and welcoming. There are some beautiful hikes to be had from here. We hope to return soon.

A very pleasant surprise during a stop on our loop from La Manère. The chapel is beautiful, with its unique (and rare in France) Camaril. The welcome was also fantastic; we had a delicious meal for a very reasonable price! If you wish, you can stay at the refuge and lend a hand to the warden who single-handedly maintains this lovely building. If you are in a large group, it's best to call ahead to reserve.

An exceptional location surrounded by forests. Thank you, Vinoth, for your warm welcome and for sharing your knowledge of the area. A delicious plated meal, not forgetting the scrambled eggs at breakfast.

22/09/2026: We had the set menu, very good, 2 courses and dessert, €21
16/09/2026: Review for the restaurant. Despite being a hotel, they have restaurant service for people who are not staying there. Located outside the most crowded area of restaurants, in front of the tourist office. It has an outdoor terrace (very comfortable) and a large indoor lounge (very well decorated). The service is very correct, friendly and professional. The food: excellent; and the price, more than reasonable. Too bad it doesn't appear on Google maps as a "restaurant" option. It appears as "accommodation" and this means that not everyone knows the restaurant options they offer. Without a doubt, a place to return to.
