A very pleasant surprise during a stop on our loop from La Manère. The chapel is beautiful, with its unique (and rare in France) Camaril. The welcome was also fantastic; we had a delicious meal for a very reasonable price! If you wish, you can stay at the refuge and lend a hand to the warden who single-handedly maintains this lovely building. If you are in a large group, it's best to call ahead to reserve.

The immediate surroundings are imbued with tranquility. Don't miss the walk to the fountain where refreshing coolness awaits, and a visit to the magnificent historic chapel, so beautifully renovated and preserved.
