A quick stop at Bagelstein this lunchtime with my mom. Bagels were carefully prepared. Absolutely delicious! Fresh, high-quality ingredients. Reasonable prices.

I've eaten at this restaurant several times. The food is good, the bagels are well-made, and the prices are generally reasonable. However, a few things could be improved. On my first visit, I found an olive pit in my bagel. Beyond the initial surprise, this poses a real risk to the customer: a pit can break a tooth, cause an injury, or, in some cases, lead to a risk of choking. I understand that such an incident can occasionally happen, but I was disappointed by the staff's reaction. They simply told me it was normal, even though there was no indication of the possible presence of pits. I wasn't necessarily expecting a gesture of goodwill, but at least a little more empathy and consideration for a comment that concerns customer safety. On my last visit, the wait time was also quite long. The atmosphere could also be more pleasant. A persistent smell of oil and frying oil hangs in the restaurant, and the ceiling appears smeared with grease, which detracts from the experience. As for drinks, I was a little disappointed by the €3.90 iced tea, which is simply iced green tea and lacks originality. Finally, I find the pastries a bit pricey. Nevertheless, the staff remains friendly and pleasant, and the quality of the bagels makes me want to return. With a few improvements to the service, the ambiance, and some of the products, the experience could be truly excellent.

Absolutely excellent! The servers respected my somewhat demanding and modified order. ^^ I really enjoyed it! I've been a loyal customer for several years and it's always just as good!

We bought two Léontine bagels around 12:30 pm. The manager suggested we toast them, in which case we had to eat them within half an hour. Which we did. My husband had never eaten them before, and I only occasionally ate the Léontine bagels, which I loved when the previous owner ran this fast food place. He used to make them in front of the customers, and everything was very fresh. He didn't toast them. This time, I was very disappointed. The bagels were already prepared in the refrigerator in front of the window, wrapped in paper. The bagels weren't as fresh as they used to be, and the lettuce was rather wilted... What a shame, especially since I had raved about Bagelstein to my husband... (And don't tell me the lettuce was wilted because it was toasted. I took a picture of the lettuce. I can't post it.) On the other hand, when the manager reprimands her employee, she should be a bit more diplomatic. The one we witnessed made us feel rather uncomfortable. That was the last time. Madam, I'm not denying that you or your employees get up early to prepare your bread. I'm simply stating a fact. Your predecessor certainly got up just as early. The salad wasn't in the dressing, but it was wilted on the side of the bread, and as I wrote above, it's a shame I can't post the photo with this review. I don't manage staff, but my husband does, and a much larger team than yours! He was just as shocked as I was. There's a way to speak to employees, and your tone was completely inappropriate! If you have something to criticize them for, take responsibility and adjust your tone! Especially in front of customers you're making uncomfortable! With that, I hope you will be able to reflect on your approach and ensure the continued success of this worthwhile brand... Sincerely.
