Bapz sur Toulouse

We went when it was very busy. We waited about 15 minutes. We were seated at a table where it was difficult for everyone to stretch their legs. There's a wide selection of cakes and drinks. My cake arrived with a piece missing, but it was the best carrot cake I've ever had outside. The place is pleasant and not too noisy.

I went back because we wanted to try it. The manager was at the counter, so I went in. I received a warm welcome. The drinks and pastries were very good. I will definitely come back, provided the manager's sister isn't there. I'm changing my rating. Previous review: It's clear there's been a change of ownership! Very disappointed...the welcome isn't the same anymore, and you can feel it as soon as you walk in. It's a tea room I used to love. The previous owner was very friendly and welcoming; we felt comfortable. Now you get the impression you're bothering her... The owner's sister is nothing like the previous owner. The waitress's strange and insistent stares, the cold welcome, we weren't allowed to touch anything... The cake portions seemed less than generous. It's not obvious that the place was practically empty... Unheard of for a Wednesday at 5 pm... We felt so uncomfortable that we just left... And you can imagine they didn't try to stop us... almost like we were being cleared out... Luckily, the smiling waitress Lila was there... I'm leaving my previous message February 2022. Super original and a warm welcome! The manager is very pleasant and smiling. My friend, who introduced me to this unusual place, confirmed that it's always like this! The English/vintage decor is particularly original. The hot drinks are good and the pastries are generous. The tables are a bit too close together and amplify the noise. This place is worth a visit for its originality and welcoming atmosphere.

A real treat! The rhubarb tart is delicious, melting in your mouth. The chocolate is very good. The welcome is warm and the owner is friendly.

Always excellent! The service is always friendly and I love being able to choose the thickness of the hot chocolate! Absolutely perfect, as always!

We went for brunch at this place that we had seen highly recommended. We were quite disappointed. The savory dish was very simple and basic. No originality at all. We liked the sweet part more although it was clear that they were using pieces of cake from the previous day. The cakes of the day were very good. It was cold in the place. My children ate with their anorak on. I had cold feet the whole time. In short, below expectations.

When you don't have the budget to visit London, you go to Bapz in Toulouse.

A magnificent, typically English tea room! The cakes are absolutely delicious! Nothing like those translucent, gelatinous pudding-like cakes 😂. This is real fine pastry! And the famous English platter is a must, with all sorts of raw vegetables, fruits and vegetables, toast, salad, scrambled eggs... A very good selection of teas and excellent thick hot chocolate! A true paradise of reimagined English cuisine! So good 😋

This tea room has always been exceptional! The wait is worth it 😌

Cozy atmosphere. A bit noisy when I arrived. The cake I tasted was a little too dry for my liking.

A lovely place to enjoy tea, hot chocolate, and pastries. Excellent staff. Be aware that towards the end of the day, there aren't many pastries left.
