Best Tofu sur Paris

Best Tofu is one of my favorite cheap eats in Paris. If you're looking for comforting, affordable food that actually leaves you full, this is the place. The shop is tiny with only a few tables, so expect to wait during busy hours. You order at the counter, and the service is quick. If you don't speak French or Mandarin, I'd recommend checking the menu online before you go so you know what you'd like to order. The staff can seem rushed, but it's just because they're keeping the line moving. Everything I've tried has been delicious, but there are three things I always recommend. The savory tofu pudding is unbelievably silky and comforting, and it's my go-to whenever I'm feeling under the weather. The pork bun is one of the best I've had in Paris. It's soft, fluffy, generously filled, and even better dipped in the black vinegar. The sticky rice with pork is another favorite, topped with seasoned pork, pork floss, and dried shrimp for tons of flavor. As someone who grew up thinking tofu was bland and boring, I never imagined I'd be craving it. Best Tofu completely changed my mind. It's simple, authentic, inexpensive, and one of those places I find myself coming back to again and again.

A disappointing experience at Best Tofu. The vegetable bun is very good and generous, as is the sesame tofu ball. However, the tofu dishes (both savory and sweet) lack flavor, which is a shame! Furthermore, the place is noisy and not really suitable for eating in (even though there are a few tables).

Unbeatable value for money. The tofu is good quality, but the recipes are simple and lack flavor (salt, spices...). The place is noisy and it's impossible to eat in.

This place is too small and confusing.

I've known about Best Tofu for a long time but never dared to go in until an influencer convinced me to try their Bao. The service was quick :) I ordered a pork Bao (…€1.50 😳) and a vegetable one (€1.50). The pork one was generously filled and seasoned. You could taste the ingredients and the seasoning. It was good. Then I ordered the vegetable one, which was also well-seasoned cabbage with a touch of ginger. The baos are good; they seem to be homemade, otherwise I would have been disappointed. Excellent value for money. I'll definitely go back!

Excellent value for money. Vegetarian bao and sesame balls stuffed with red beans are very good and only €1.50 each.

Cheapest place to eat in Paris I have ever been. The tofu soup is very good. Other dishes are decent, I don't so much the baos though. I always come to takeaway their tofu frit which is insanely cheaper than in normal asian shops.

Great prices, tasty tofu, authentic Chinese experience 😍 payed 11€ for six dishes and a drink. Thank you!
