Bistrot des Quat'Zarts sur Maulette

Family meal in July. Our order for aperitifs was taken and served fairly quickly. Perhaps they were tired, but the servers weren't smiling at all. We started seeing a few other tables arrive after we'd been served our starters and main courses. After a 40-minute wait and a reminder, they finally came to take our order. Of course, some of the dishes on the board (there was no menu) were no longer available... they forgot to ask us about side dishes, and when we pointed it out to the owner, we felt like we were bothering him. I've never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant, seeing disillusioned servers and a very unfriendly owner. As for the food, thankfully it was generally good, but nothing exceptional. We certainly won't be going back.

Bistro Gourmand, always the same delight every time

Same as always: simple but excellent dishes, top-quality ingredients, very good value for money, very pleasant setting, and a nice large terrace. That's the positive side, which is the main reason for our visits. Because for the rest... we know it when we go back, but we've reached a new level. The telephone reception for the reservation was mediocre, and the in-person reception was very... unique. We were supposed to come as a party of three, but only two came due to a last-minute change of plans. We were told, "You could have let us know," to which I replied, "We just found out, unless you're a psychic..." A friendly and professional reception. They gave us a table anyway, and in the process, they gained a seat. Once seated, we waited and waited and waited. We arrived second, and after asking for a menu and seeing other tables being served, we were told in a polite tone, "There are only two of us, and tonight we're fully booked!" Okay. But that's a good thing, isn't it? Then the meal progressed more pleasantly. At dessert time, there was another long, long wait, which led us to decide not to order dessert. It didn't seem to bother anyone since none of the waiters came to ask us. Then came the bill. And there... we wanted to pay part of it with a restaurant card, and we were told, "Oh no! Not in the evening, I give enough to charity and to this government!!! And don't complain, you're the ones who elected them with your votes!!! So you shouldn't complain now!" Absolutely ludicrous. We paid and left, but what a waste considering the location, the character of the restaurant, and the quality of the food (kudos to the chef). Perhaps it's time to hand it over if the paying customers are unbearable. Or if you can't stand them anymore...

An unmissable gourmet stop! It's always a real pleasure to dine there.

First time at this restaurant and my impression is mixed: the food itself is quite classic, unsurprising, bistro-style, and it's good, but nothing to write home about. The meat is decent, nothing special, the homemade fries were a bit overcooked, but the dessert was very good. But a restaurant is also about the setting, the atmosphere... there's that certain something that makes you feel comfortable, it's welcoming. So yes, it's noisy, it's crowded, but that creates a family-like, canteen-style atmosphere that gives the place a warmth. We noticed quite a few regulars, which is usually a good sign. The decor is unique; you can feel a story, and it tells a tale of lived experience. Try the terrace when the weather is nice, as the outdoor setting is also very inviting.

Dinner tonight for 3, excellent service! #Chloe was fantastic!!! The lamb shank was cooked to perfection and the service was top-notch! Thank you!

A relaxing place surrounded by beautiful things (antiques and secondhand goods)

We've never been disappointed by Les 4 Arts restaurant, but unfortunately, our experience on Saturday was different. I found a piece of plastic in my avocado and crayfish tartare. I immediately pointed it out to the server, who told us she would take care of it. We expected some kind of reaction or gesture of goodwill, but in the end, only the bill arrived. We had to explain the situation again, but it didn't elicit any particular response. It's a real shame, because until now we'd always been satisfied with this restaurant.

No complaints, the setting is fantastic and the food is excellent. The service was top-notch. I'll be back.
