Bistrot Podium sur Paris

We had dinner at this "festive" restaurant and were surprised to find no festive atmosphere at all. On the contrary, the restaurant was rather empty and lifeless. I must admit the decor is nice, but the service leaves much to be desired. The food is good, but clearly overpriced for the quality offered. I don't think I'll be back.

We came to this festive restaurant for Mother's Day, on a Sunday at lunchtime. The setting is pleasant, and you can tell the place was designed to create a Parisian nightlife atmosphere. A definite plus: the €27 lunch menu is also offered on Sundays, which is quite rare and particularly welcome. The restaurant also benefits from an interesting location in the Beaugrenelle district, where there are relatively few establishments that strive for a more sophisticated ambiance and a "chic restaurant" feel, reminiscent of those found in some of Paris's most prestigious neighborhoods. There was a singer at the piano performing French covers. The idea was nice, but the sound was so low that it was barely audible, like simple background music. It's a shame, because we would have liked more energy and interaction with the other diners: for the customers to participate, applaud, and create a truly festive atmosphere. Finally, she sang a little to herself, with regular breaks, without really creating any atmosphere. Regarding the service, the team was present, but the organization lacked a certain fluidity. Several people were involved (waiter, busser, manager), but some of their interactions could have been more discreet. The waiter sometimes seemed overwhelmed, and the manager made remarks to him in the dining room in front of the customers ("the bread is missing," "the table is waiting for its water carafes," etc.). This type of reminder is undoubtedly necessary internally, but it would have been preferable to handle these adjustments more discreetly and elegantly, in order to preserve the customer experience. As for the food, the portions seemed rather small to me, especially considering the expected experience. Even though the €27 lunch menu is in line with Parisian prices, I found it somewhat lacking in generosity and the value for money could be improved. I think the place really shines in the evening, with a more festive atmosphere and more entertainment. Perhaps I'll try it in the evening next time to experience that side of it. For a birthday, a reunion, or a special occasion, the place could be nice, but for a Sunday lunch, I was a little ambivalent.

Overall, a rather pleasant experience. The place is very nice and the atmosphere is well-executed. We came on a Sunday at lunchtime, and a singer accompanied by a pianist provided entertainment during the meal. It was a beautiful performance that added a real touch of class to the experience. As for the food, the dishes are good and well-presented. However, I expected to be a little more impressed, especially seeing Glenn Viel's name associated with the restaurant. The flavors are well-executed, but it lacks that little "wow" factor that would fully justify the price. In short, a good time thanks to the setting and the atmosphere, but the cuisine, in my opinion, could gain more personality to live up to the expectations it raises.

What a disappointment! This nice, unpretentious place has become incredibly tacky. What used to be a festive piano bar atmosphere has devolved into an awkward evening. Three very pleasant singers, but they sang off-key while berating the customers and getting the seated diners to sing into the microphone. Noise pollution, and an atmosphere that wasn't very classy. The place, which used to be packed weeks in advance, is now deserted. It's a shame; it used to be lovely.

The food was delicious, the service friendly. However, being several steps from Paris, the decor is a little less sophisticated and the menu more expensive for the same quality.

Nice place and very welcoming. Great atmosphere with two or three professional singers! The only downside was that we were somewhat pressured into ordering a €60 set menu, even though almost all of us had opted for a single dish, as we weren't very hungry in this heat! I won't be going back.

We had the pleasure of having lunch at your restaurant for a bachelorette party on Sunday, June 14th: the atmosphere was fantastic! A singer with a beautiful voice really got the party going, a helpful and accommodating waiter, and a super friendly manager! Thank you to Abdel and his team for serving us so well. The bride-to-be will have wonderful memories of her weekend, and that's thanks to you too! Oh, and also: thank you for the champagne! See you soon!

We discovered Glenn Viel's restaurant quite by chance, and what can I say? We loved it! The dining room exudes the colorful and festive atmosphere of the 70s, reminding me of John Travolta's best dance moves in Saturday Night Fever! It was also a true choreography of flavors on our plates! What a delight! We'll be back soon!

The service was warm, friendly, and very professional. The interior and atmosphere were wonderful, and the food was delicious.
