Bistrot Septime sur Irigny

The establishment is pleasant and cozy, there is a homely atmosphere. I had a dinner with wine accompaniment. The sommelier is incredible and really picked up good positions for the food. As for the food, I liked all the courses except the dessert. If the previous dishes had interesting combinations, then the clafoutis for dessert was quite mediocre and had nothing interesting in taste. The service was excellent at the beginning of the dinner, towards the end the waiters may have gotten tired, 15 minutes after they cleared the table after the dessert they just sat there, not even offering coffee or a glass of wine additionally. Overall, the impressions were the best, if you don't take into account the end of the dinner.

Absolutely loved our experience at Septime. The food was exceptional, but what really stood out was the atmosphere. It’s fine dining, yet it feels relaxed, warm and welcoming rather than overly formal or pretentious. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the evening, which made the whole experience even better. The menu was also surprisingly reasonably priced, especially considering that Septime is ranked among the Top 50 restaurants in the world. A fantastic experience from start to finish — highly recommended!

What a wonderful experience, the food is truly incredible. I was amazed by the flavors and the presentation. I was also pleasantly surprised by the incredibly friendly wait staff, who visibly enjoy working there. And the sommelier, who suggested the matching wines with great passion and knowledge, was the finishing touch to the most beautiful culinary experience I have ever had.

Food is stellar. This vegetable-forward restaurant will make you believe that you could be very well make it as a weekday vegetarian, even though you currently are an absolute carnivore. The precision, intention, and creativity behind each vegetable is superb. I don’t think I will have eggplant or zucchini as good as this again. The eggplant was truly exceptional. Extremely soft and charred at the same time, topped with a generous scallop XO sauce, it was the most satisfying bite! There is no AC so we dripped as we ate. More fans, or ceiling fans, would make the experience in July better. The servers are not keen for conversation, and they ask if the food is good for the sake of asking, without being attentive to your response. For a place that obviously loves food and treats vegetables as an art-form, I would have loved the opportunity to chat and learn about their techniques during the meal for an even greater appreciation.

Septime was phenomenal and made for an unforgettable final dinner in Paris. What stood out most was how seasonal produce took center stage—vegetables were the undisputed stars of the menu, highlighted with delicate, masterfully balanced flavors and a logical progression from course to course. The wine pairing was incredibly thoughtful as well. Rather than battling or overpowering the food, each pour either accentuated the subtle notes of the dish or offered a really sharp, refreshing contrast. The dining room itself was warm, rustic, and inviting, feeling more like someone’s home than a high-end restaurant, and the service matched that vibe perfectly—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. An absolute culinary high point of the trip.

somm was great, food was unfortunately not that interesting, atmosphere was admittedly a bit of a one off, but we were there on a very hot day and there was just a single fan in our section. for a restaurant with this reputation, please just buy more fans. however even had it been perfectly cool, i didn't find a compelling reason to want to return

We visited Septime last summer for dinner after securing reservations well in advance. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing, and it exceeded every expectation. The flavor combinations and ingredient pairings introduced us to entirely new tastes, and the plating was beautiful. The staff was incredibly warm and knowledgeable, and it was impressive to see how well the team works as a unit. It was a remarkable dining experience.

Been there a few times already! While the menu has now changed from an à la carte to a pre fix, they do accommodate all dietary restrictions and are pretty flexible. Food is always exceptional but the service lacked a bit this time around. There was a big gap of time between every dish they would drop off. This could have been because of our dietary restrictions, though we have dined at many other Michelin rated restaurants and never experienced this much of a delay. Another issue was the extreme heat at the restaurant. Paris was experiencing a very hot summer and while most restaurants do not have a proper air conditioning, they try to accommodate the guests by providing multiple fans. This wasn’t the case for septime. There was only one fan near one table and all of the other tables had to suffer. We asked if they could move the fan to the center so more guests get to have a breeze but we were told that the cord is too short. Business should at least have multiple fans given how hot summers in Paris have become.

Amazing. Visited in April 2026. Lunch. Very creative food - especially loved the fish and vegetables preparation. Atmosphere is also very nice, the staff friendly and attention, the wine list is good and the sommelier a really good adviser (and listener ☺️).
