Note et avis

New Bombay Palace (often associated with the well-known Bombay Palace spot on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis) is a true hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in Paris. In a neighborhood filled with dining options, this restaurant stands out not only for its food but for the complete experience it offers—from the warm welcome to the final bite. One of the first things that impresses is the incredible variety of food on the menu. The selection is extensive, covering all the essentials of Indian cuisine and beyond. From fragrant biryanis and rich, creamy curries to sizzling tandoori dishes and freshly baked naan, every dish reflects a deep respect for traditional recipes. The diversity also means that whether you prefer meat, seafood, or vegetarian dishes, you’ll find plenty of satisfying options. What truly makes this place special is the authenticity. The flavors are bold yet well-balanced, and you can immediately tell that the dishes are prepared using genuine spices and traditional cooking methods. Nothing feels overly adapted or diluted—the food tastes like it’s meant to, offering a real glimpse into Indian culinary culture. Each plate is aromatic, flavorful, and comforting, with generous use of herbs and spices that bring every dish to life. Another standout feature is the pricing. In a city like Paris, especially so close to a major station, it’s rare to find such competitive prices for this level of quality. Many dishes are available at very accessible price points, often around 10–15€, making it an excellent value for money. This affordability doesn’t come at the expense of quality—in fact, it enhances the experience, making it possible to explore more of the menu without hesitation. The portion sizes are equally impressive. The servings are generous and satisfying, ensuring that you leave the restaurant full and content. Whether it’s a hearty curry served with rice or naan, or a flavorful biryani, the quantity matches the quality—something that regular diners truly appreciate. Finally, what elevates the entire experience is the staff. The team is exceptionally friendly, polite, and welcoming. Their hospitality feels genuine—they take the time to ensure you’re comfortable, help you navigate the menu if needed, and serve with a constant smile. This level of attentiveness creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, making you feel valued as a guest rather than just another customer. Overall, New Bombay Palace offers a complete package: authentic and delicious food, a wide selection of dishes, generous portions, very reasonable prices, and outstanding service. It’s the kind of place you return to not just for the food, but for the warm and satisfying experience every single time.

17/05/2026: Since the new sign opened under the town hall café, I've been here four or five times already. Overall, I like the place; the decor is pleasant. The service has always been very good, especially on my last visit when the manager made a point of ensuring we were received in the best possible conditions. It's nice to simply feel like a customer. I ordered a small seafood platter, and my husband had chicken and rice. The quality was excellent. We had a Ricard aperitif, a glass of red wine, a glass of white wine, a coffee, and a Calvados. €90, drinks a bit pricey, that's my only comment. I enjoyed the complimentary infused rum.
12/05/2026: We only had a drink there, but we had a great time. The servers were very friendly and funny; we felt right at home! And the happy hour from 4 pm until closing was amazing!

11/01/2026: After nearly a hundred visits, we can attest to the undeniable quality of every aspect of this Tamil restaurant: food, service, and atmosphere. Big shout-out to the always-hot parothas and the ever-welcoming manager.
