This was my favorite bakery in Caen. The man (who I believe was the owner) was extremely friendly and prompt. I went there a few times and he would come out from the back, flour on his hands, and serve us in a kind and courteous way. If only I lived in Caen, this would be my go-to boulangerie!

I highly recommend this bakery! I tried a specialty I'd never heard of before: "calinettes." They're absolutely delicious, especially the Kinder Bueno and Nutella ones—a real treat for anyone with a sweet tooth. The service is fantastic, and everything looks so tempting. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Caen!

The passion fruit cake was good, but I was very disappointed with the chocolate éclair. I really didn't understand the flavor of the ganache in the éclair. Sorry, I really didn't like it; it tasted like everything but chocolate (that said, the glaze was very good!).
