02/09/2026: We stopped by Le Machiniste before heading to dinner on a Sunday evening and had a fantastic time. The cocktails, charcuterie board, ambiance, and music were all perfect. Our bartender/mixologist was amazing! We even came back after our meal for a final cocktail. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

05/09/2026: Delicious food and a great concept. Simply a wonderful experience! Even with limited French, we managed just fine. All the staff were friendly and had a great sense of humor. We'd especially like to commend Axel at the grill. It was fun to watch him. We were just passing through. It's a shame, because we'd love to come back.

18/08/2026: Fantastic!!! You can't come to Caen and not come here. The best steak tartare we've ever had. The wine was a proper serving, not the standard 12cl they give you in France. The service was excellent.

15/09/2026: The service needs improvement; the servers keep getting the dishes, drinks, and desserts wrong. The food was on par with the atmosphere... They really need to invest in air conditioning.

He regularly checked to make sure everything was going well and that we had everything we needed. The tasting platter was absolutely fantastic! Everything was delicious, simple yet perfectly executed and beautifully prepared. Well done! This is a very good restaurant that I highly recommend and that deserves to be discovered! 👏

18/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! A little outside the center of Caen, but well worth the detour! We had a fantastic time at Chef and his wife's restaurant. Exceptional value for money, with high-quality ingredients and refined, flavorful, and perfectly executed cuisine. The chef is incredibly attentive to his guests, with great kindness and passion. His wife provides attentive service and offers excellent advice on dishes and wines. An authentic, warm, and unpretentious place where you can truly feel the desire to please and offer beautiful cuisine. Thank you for your hospitality and congratulations to you both for this wonderful restaurant! We will definitely be back.

31/07/2026: A great find! The dishes are simple yet refined. The large ice cream is truly enormous (best shared, especially if you have a huge appetite). The staff is welcoming and friendly. There's a very well-stocked shop that's worth a visit (especially for the Korean skincare, which is reasonably priced compared to other places). Highly recommended! ☝️🤓

15/08/2026: Excellent Japanese restaurant. We were welcomed on August 15th. There were few people, and we waited very little time for our food. We enjoyed their maki/sushi/chicken skewers, which were fresh and delicious. I'm never disappointed by the food at this restaurant, whether dining in or taking away! The value for money is excellent! We only paid €30 for two people. The only downside is that the dining room doesn't quite live up to the quality of the food. When it's busy, I think it can quickly feel cramped. I highly recommend this restaurant over other fast-food sushi places like Eatsushi.
