As long-time customers, we've noticed a decline in the quality of the products... The bread isn't baked evenly... And this Saturday we were really looking forward to enjoying a pavlova... But no, the meringue wasn't cooked, it was truly disappointing. We hope you'll address this soon.

Overall, it's pretty good. But there's a lack of vegetarian options at lunchtime.

I really love Marie Blachère bread, and I think the chain's success is largely due to that. That's why I often stop there when I'm on the road to grab a quick sandwich. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the one on Plateau des Couleurs in Valence confirms what I've already noticed in three bakeries in Romans (two of which are ridiculously located 50 meters apart…): the sandwich selection has become extremely limited. For some time now, you can hardly find anything but ham and butter and tuna and salad sandwiches. Chicken sandwiches are almost always unavailable, even mid-morning, despite the shelves being full and there's no sign of them running out due to high demand. Even today, after a long wait, there was no chicken available. So I settled for the €5 deal of 4 items, which includes mini sandwiches, croque monsieur, and a few desserts. The result: There are obviously no chicken sandwiches. Same for the croque-monsieur: "We didn't make any today." I leave with three tuna sandwiches and one ham sandwich, all on brioche buns. I'm completely baffled. Offering brioche buns for sandwiches in a bakery that makes excellent bread is truly heresy. Taste-wise, it's pointless, and nutritionally, it's not ideal either. But I suppose, once again, the cost must be lower. What's frustrating is taking the time to stop with a specific idea in mind and leaving with something else by default. It feels like the selection is geared towards the cheapest products to produce, at the expense of choice and customer satisfaction. And if this isn't a policy, isn't it possible to offer more of what actually sells? Do you keep track of everything at the end of each day? How is it that there are so many product shortages at lunchtime, sometimes even at 11 a.m. if it's not intentional? At this point, it's either sheer pettiness or incompetence. Anyway, I didn't get much enjoyment from my brioche bun sandwich; a cheaper Daunat sandwich from the Aldi next door would have been much more satisfying.

The atmosphere can be a bit unpredictable depending on who's working… some are in the mood, others less so. But the bare minimum is to smile and give the customer a proper welcome. My favorite is still the tall one with glasses and blue eyes: she has a presence that I love, and that my colleagues love too. She knows how to sell like no one else; she's got style! You can tell she loves what she does, and it shows! Where's the tall, tattooed guy?! The two of them made a great duo with a fantastic atmosphere. I truly wish them much success and that their enthusiasm continues to inspire customers. The products are really good and the prices are reasonable. If we could have staff like that everywhere, it would certainly encourage purchases… but our wallets would suffer!!!!

Warm welcome, smiling and very friendly staff, the service is high quality and fast

I'm back again, and even a bit more regularly. I had a bad experience before, but after talking about it with others, I heard good things about your bakery. So I decided to try again, and the welcome was very pleasant. It just goes to show how much nicer it is when you're well served and greeted with a smile. A well-deserved shout-out to the saleswoman with short hair and blue eyes. The Nordic bread went perfectly with my salmon, and the corn bread was excellent with the guacamole. This saleswoman truly enjoys her work; it shows. It's very pleasant, and I hope it continues!

It's a shame it's not open on Sunday mornings, but otherwise a very good bakery.

We stopped by on Wednesday. Overwhelmed by the holiday rush, I had completely forgotten to buy a Yule log for Christmas. I want to sincerely thank the saleswoman who was there at closing time; she was incredibly kind and understanding. The Yule log was excellent, so much so that my husband went back yesterday to get two more! A warm welcome and delicious products—thank you again.

What a pleasure it was to visit your shop this weekend! Thank you to the very friendly saleswoman who gave us excellent advice. The cake was delicious, and the bread was also delicious—perfect with our cheese! We will definitely be back! There's a wonderful energy in the shop, and the saleswomen's smiles are truly delightful!

I was passing through Saint Marcel les Valence over the weekend and stopped at this bakery. They have truly excellent bread, and their pizzas and sandwiches are really very good and of very high quality. We received a very warm welcome from a great team. I highly recommend this bakery; it will be my go-to bakery when I return.
