There's a great deal of confusion regarding the numerous reviews that seem to deliberately drastically lower this establishment's average rating to 2/5. Until now, we hadn't been disappointed, with service and attention provided without a hitch. We generally ordered hot drinks like cappuccinos or soft drinks (shandy, sparkling water instead of Perrier with a slice of lemon). We had considered trying one of their "budget-friendly" set menus, which offered a choice between flank steak with sauce or the daily special. We ultimately opted for flank steak with sauce plus a choice of pastry, cheese, or ice cream. Since they were out of apple pie, we chose two ice creams, each with two scoops (vanilla and chocolate; vanilla and blackcurrant). The plate was reasonably generous with a little bit of everything: flank steak with a pepper sauce, cooked "medium" or "rare," a small salad, and fries—classic, but not bad here, and their shape was a nice touch. We ordered drinks, but given the price, it's clear that's where they make their biggest profit, and not just here, everywhere, in fact. The service: the large gentleman dressed in black, whose coldness was criticized in some reviews, was anything but for us, reflecting his personality, which was clearly misinterpreted by most. A very adequate quick meal near the train station. The express menu for €13.50 was very reasonable, the steak was perfectly cooked and everything was super good value. Don’t expect gourmet like the rest of the haters giving this restaurant one star.
