Brasserie du Centre sur Aunay-Sur-Odon

We stayed in the hotel across the road from the Brasserie du Centre and based upon the reviews we decided to have dinner here. If you are expecting a gourmet French meal then perhaps this is not the place for you however, if you are after a good meal of hearty food then this will work for you. We had a Pizza and a goats cheese salad both were a very generous size. My Pizza base wasn't the best I have ever had but again it was very acceptable, loads of toppings with lots of flavour. My wife had the salad which again was big with lots of cheese and lardons. We had a large beer and two glasses of white wine. All of which came to less than €45. The staff were very friendly and helped when we struggled with the language. Attentive but not over the top. The place was pretty full and this meant it had a good atmosphere. If you are looking for a good hearty meal that is great value for money then this is a great place to eat.

New to the city, we're trying out the restaurants. We received a very warm welcome from a very friendly and pleasant waitress. The daily special was decent (the tongue was a little overcooked for my taste). One major drawback... The attitude of the owner (I believe he is the owner) towards his staff. It's inconceivable for customers to hear the owner speaking so disrespectfully from the kitchen to his servers, who, in my opinion, are doing their best, running around everywhere but still managing to smile and remain friendly towards the customers (despite their red eyes). What a shame!

The young waiter was very helpful, the owner very welcoming, and the food excellent. You get your money's worth.

Following my daughter's wedding and a cousin's birthday, we are very satisfied. Impeccable service, well done to Laurent and his entire team!

Excellent experience. Smiling and welcoming staff. The portions are very generous, beautifully presented, and the price is quite reasonable. We'll definitely keep this address in mind and will gladly return on another trip to Normandy. Congratulations to the whole team.

A friendly place. Good food, a warm welcome, I recommend it.
